One, with the standard Blink mount, which doesn't allow the cameras to be far from the wall, there is no room for this long adapter in back, so it must be bent (broken) or the camera must be positioned at an awkward angle that is not optimal for looking straight onto the path where you want it viewing.
Two, because there is no gasket and there is a small gap in where it plugs in (it's actually not that small, see the second photo), the metal parts are just open and exposed to the elements. It wasn't even raining much during the time I used it, and I found some rust even inside the hole to the camera. I realized when the camera was off-line one day that the solar was not working, so I got on the ladder again and opened it up, found even the camera had rust in the connection piece and I thought it was messed up because of this dumb arrangement (thankfully, I caught it before it destroyed my camera).
Of course, this was all more than 30 days from when it was delivered. I called Amazon and explained the situation, and thankfully I was offered a solution, but it came with a $20 restocking fee. Better than losing $70, but still not happy that they sold me something that clearly is not as advertised… This thing should not be written as compatible with Blink Gen 4. What they tried to do is shoehorn an old design into the new requirement, with the cheapest parts possible. I had thought it was a good deal because I also have some Gen 3 cameras, and this was a set of four that I could use with both, but I removed the solar panel that was on my Gen3 as well because I realized there is also no gasket and rain will get in eventually, might as well return everything together. I am not happy though, I drilled all sorts of wall in order to do this and it took me an afternoon putting all the solar panels up that I now have to change for another product that will hopefully work better.
