Colora henna powder natural organic hair color will not penetrate the hair or change its structure, but each and every hair shaft will actually be wrapped and its body thus visibly increased with the very first application. Colora henna powder works wonders for hair, especially if it feels dull and lifeless. Henna adds body and bounce, and offers a choice of rich but subtle color changes. Colora henna powder's "natural" shade will add extra body and shine with no change in color. All of the other twelve shades will add a thin layer of transparent color so that the original hair color will shine through and enhance the final result for the ultimate natural look.

If you have a few strands of silver that are looking to make golden this is your ticket. I don't fully follow the directions, I mix the powder and put it on my dry and dirty hair (rather than pre-washed) 1 hour before I shower. I let it sit and usually dry out on my head, then I wash it out and shampoo as usual. For me it's a perfect system. I have light brown / dirty blonde hair (with a few streaks of silver that no longer show). I use different shades depending on my mood and have been experimenting.
It has an earthy smell that I adore (though I could see some people find unpleasant). It makes me feel it's totally natural as there's not even fragrance added. Also the cardboard with only a plastic bag for the powder is minimal in it's packaging and better for the environment.
If you find the smell unpleasant but still want the same effect I suggest first you give it another try, you might then come to like it, but if you don't you could source some Tint's of Nature Henna (though it comes premixed in a plastic container (I try to use as little plastic as possible) and it contains a perfume I don't like).

My first time doing henna dye. The colour change for my light brown hair wasn’t huge, but it made my hair feel supple, with an extra gold sheen. It looked very natural. It did darken my brown hair a touch, but not so much that people noticed. It *does* have a strong smell when dyeing, and the smell lingers a bit in your hair, so if you’re sensitive to smells, you might not like this. But personally, I find it preferable to the chemical smell of hair dye. This is all natural and healthy for your hair.
