The cable gets a bit stiff at cold temperatures but that's normal. I like the lighted end and great price. My 13 amp snow blower works fine with it.

Bought two of these to run my Snow Joe. at - 19C (- 2 F) they are like giant spring coils. Not good at low temperatures at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Low Loss extension cord

Coleman Cable 02468 14/3 SJTW Low-Temp Outdoor Extension Cord with Lighted End, 50-Foot This is a superior extension cable made for operating in cold temperatures. It stays flexible in the snow, so is excellent for operating cold weather outdoor equipment. Easy to rewind because the insulation does not get brittle. Very important to use a 14 gauge wire to minimize the voltage drop. Most cords of this length are 16 gauge and will get warm or cause power slowdown, but this is 14 gauge and performs well. It is worth spending a little extra to make cold weather chores less difficult.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Nice for the Garage

I got this cord to use mostly in my garage which can be damp sometimes. 50 feet is longer than I need, but I wanted to give myself some options in future use. The cord is as supple as can be expected with a cord this thick. The blue color provides good visibility as does the lighted socket. I believe it will last for twenty years or so... (which is probably longer than I will).

2.0 out of 5 stars doesn't live up to the low temp billing
Reviewed in the United States on November 25, 2013

Not very flexible at 23 degrees compared to my older low temp cord. It would be fine for use on Christmas lights but trouble if used with an electric snow thrower. I decided to return the cable directly to Coleman Cable with my comments because I think there was a manufacturing error in the cable I received. They immediately agreed to replace it with the equivalent Yellow Jacket cable. The Yellow Jacket cable does not specifically say it is for low temp use but is billed as their top of the line extension cord that remains completely flexible at sub freezing temps. This cord arrived and while it's better than the "low tem" cord it's still not flexible enough at 13 degrees to coil up without a lot of trouble. I should have returned the original cord to Amazon. because now I'm stuck with another summer cord I really don't need. I've talked to US Wire and I'm going to try their "Extreme" -95 cord when it's in stock in at Amazon in 2 weeks.

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed!
Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2014

This was not what I expected. First of all the female end of the cable has an odd shape to it I couldn't get it to fit into the end of the snow thrower without my husband having to shave a piece of it off. Then I thought is was going to be way more flexible in the cold and it was not. While slightly more flexible than traditional cords, not worth buying just for that.
