The shape of the sole is round and seems not adequate for a foot. The sole is in plastic, which means you will probably want to add cushion, but also it means the sole doesn't adapt to the shape of your foot. This shoe is incredibly uncomfortable, which is surprising from Cole Haan shoes

These Cole Hassan are nice quality and looks good with casual and dressier looks. My husband likes that they look good but offer comfort for walking. He uses these with dressier shorts and sometimes jeans or cotton casual pants. We purchased the dark navy and the shoe is well made with consistent stitching. He is a size 9.5 and they fit true to size.
