A quick easter egg! The USB transmitter is a Type-C transmitter and it comes with a USB-C to USB-A Converter. I have an Android phone. SO I just slap that sucker in the USB-C port of the phone and it works great! While these are not Bluetooth-enabled Headphones, I am content to have this option for most of my calls. I wish it was easier to get a hold of a second transmitter so I could have one on my person.
The headset's battery life is legitimate. I got them out of the box at 80%. Been using them for about 2 weeks, and am just at 20% now. The wireless range is also great. I can go upstairs, make coffee, lunch, etc. with no lag or disconnections. This was my biggest concern where long battery life is promised. A reasonable compromise between the wireless alphas and the cloud2 wireless. (300 hours vs. 30 hours respectively)
The audio quality is clear. I am not an audiophile, so someone else please expand on that topic.
The comfort of the cloud series is very much here. There are no replacement ear pads with this package. But I think it's fair to say that the majority of users prefer the leatherette pads. I wear these for 5+hours at a time and experience no ear or neck strain.
Time will tell whether these will last the test of time like my previous cloud2's. I simply replaced them due to the leatherette pads wearing off and flaking all over the place. I also enjoy not having wires on my desk anymore.
Great value for what it delivers.
Other than that is does a great job, battery life is amazing. One nice thing is that the seashell effect on these is pretty minor, not completely gone but not very noticeable. You can also hear what is going on around you fairly well which I like.
Audio quality while listening to people in meetings is amazing, I could hear a ton of detail in peoples voices. It does sound a little flat but that seems to work great for back and forth conversations and being able to understand what is being said. I bought the Cloud Alpha to replace these and voices just do not sounds as good on it compared to the Cloud III.
I had arctis nova 7p thou incredible they failed after 2 weeks. So this was my next try.
These are not turtle beach quality but.. all in all decent. The battery actually lasts you all day.. For days on end..even at full volume. Full credit for that! The range is awesome, I can go upstairs without the signal dropping out.
They look awesome! The build quality is above industry average. You could ( but shouldn't) throw these across the room after being slaughtered in game... Again, and expect them to survive.
Here are my 3 complaints not that I think they really care.
1) For the price I'm not sure why they don't have built in blue tooth for your phone.. For music and such. (Yes you can plug the dongle into your phone but come on really!?!)
2) The fabled ear cups: a) maybe this is just mine but... The seams started to fail after 2 weeks. Which was ok because:
B:) Your ears will get warm after a while.
I addressed this by replacing the ear cups with another after market company's cups.
3) This is subjective in my honest opinion they lack (used with ps5) bass. The highs and mids no issues in my humble opinion. I have ear buds that produce better bass. ( Just saying).
Do I regret getting these?
No, but there is room for improvement.

The Cloud 3s are comfy, the build quality seems okay, however, I'd wait for reviews after these have been out for longer. I've owned multiple HyperX products that have broken after just 6 months of use. Hopefully, that does not happen with the Cloud 3s
The microphone quality is much worse than the Cloud 2s, and it's EXTREMELY quiet. I even returned my headset initially because I thought it was defective, however, the mic is just normally very quiet.
Just get the Cloud 2s or Razer Blackshark V2s. Unfortunately, HyperX has become a bottom-of-the-barrel choice for peripherals recently.

+ Well built
+ Sound quality, out of the box EQ is pretty flat. It perfectly cuts the harsh/piercing treble range, which can quickly cause listener fatigue. For my ears, it’s darn near perfect and not at all fatiguing for long sessions. They chose an inoffensive, warm sound profile that should sound good with anything you throw at it. Games, music or movies. Although, this is very subjective. If you love bass, you’ll want to EQ it.
+ Imaging is very good. Soundstage is above average. Angled drivers should be on every gaming headset. I have no trouble at all pinpointing exact locations in FPS.
+ Mic quality is very good. (Required a setting change in Windows for best performance).
+ Mic Monitoring on this headset is the best I've ever heard, very natural sounding with little delay.
+ Battery life could literally last you over a month.
+ USB 2.4ghz transmitter gives you the choice of USB-C or USB-A via an adapter.
+ Wireless range is extremely wide, bathroom trips are not an issue.
+ Easy to clean.
+ Easily get an accurate battery percentage. Tap the power button and a voice will tell you.
+ Ngenuity Software is very well polished and is downloaded via the Microsoft Store.
+ I hate background software, thankfully Ngenuity is not required. Although you should update firmware.
There are some negatives;
- Headset gets warm, I'm ok with this, some might not be. I prefer a headset that is easy to clean over one with cloth earpads that stays cool.
- No Bluetooth.
- In Windows 10/11, the Mic defaults to 16000hz. Change it to 32000hz in your Microphone Properties/Advanced tab. You’ll notice a huge increase in quality. This mic is actually very good, but if you hear people saying it sucks, it’s because the default setting handicaps the quality.
- They use DTS X instead of Dolby Atmos for their spatial sound. It's not great, just use Windows Sonic.
- DTS X driver is required for you to be able to EQ the headset. And as far as I can tell, EQ settings are not saved, the software must be running. PlayStation users be aware. (Although the stock EQ is damn near perfect to me).
- No Xbox Compatibility.
This is the first headset I've used where the negatives have no affect on my experience. Which is why I believe it is the best sub $200 PC gaming headset available. I have no idea how it would work with Playstation, but I'd guess it is also pretty damn good there as well. I will be using this for years to come.
