HOW TO PREP

1. Use an old towel to protect your clothing and household surfaces. Put on protective gloves. Tear off tab from the color activator application bottle (#2) then unscrew the cap. Pierce opening of Color Cream (#1)

2. With both hands squeeze entire contents of the tube (#1) completely into the bottle (#2). Replace applicator bottle cap.

3. Place gloved finger over the applicator tip, point away from face, and shake vigorously until the color is totally blended.

First of all, I read the instructions. So I found that it is easy to follow, its easy to use and not messy at all. Since my hair is thick. I decided to wait 1 more hour before I condition it. It am very satisfied. no white hair for about 1 month now. I will buy this again.

As someone who has used every single brand of drugstore/box dye I consider myself an expert at this point. The new formula of nice and easy seems to be the only product that makes my hair feel better, good color, not harsh smell but does have a smell. This is one of the better priced dyes but I feel is the highest quality. Loreal used to be my go to hair color, I feel they are less accurate in color and hair condition is worse after the new loreal formulation changes and clairol nice and easy has actually improved.
Pros:
-Good price compared to other dyes
-good longevity and color is quite accurate to box guide
-hair feels good after use of product
Cons
- some people may not like the smell
-not many red shades

Overall the browns/blonde shades have been very good.

I really like this colour, for blondes, gray or white hair. In other words, light roots.

Dark blondes might want to try it. {Chose a future colour based on a lighter shade or shades that you have in your 20's, and notice if reddish at all or not}. To avoid going ash or 'greenish', use a more yellow based colour. I always use a golden colour.

I find that dyed hair makes older women look about 10 years younger than white, salt & pepper hair, as does longer hair. I'm not a hairdresser at all, but have been doing this for decades. My mother preferred blonde hair and mine was going darker blonde with red and light blonde highlights- natural. I would never suggest dying hair often at a young age or even older! Gray will come one day and that will be it!

As I am, I use this; a lovely shade, easy to use, hard to see the roots (use the gloves, use a second mirror for the back) leave on for the maximum time I find, and right after I do my roots, make sure that it's rubbed in and go over the hairline again, personally, I put it all over my hair and let it sit it out. This works for me. It makes sure that the colour is more even, as it sits in a
pile on my head.
It may be best to follow the directions to the letter at first. Just don't rush and sluice your hair very well as my Dad used to say- RINSE as written.

If you have medium dark to dark hair, you have to remove/ bleach your colour first, or it will be brassy, you'll get that violet shampoo to take out the brassiness, it will make it go ashy in colour all over, and then you're back at the hairdresser anyway. -$$$

So use it on the colour of hair on the side of the box, more or less. Or on white hair. It covers gray/white hair really well! It may take longer depending on the courseness of your hair. Timing makes a difference. I go longer. The conditioner is great.

I use Nutrisse colour restorer as conditioner too as it deposits some colour onto the hair( 2 weeks tops as washes out). Sometimes I use it in between colourings to boost it, but for the part and hairline. There are many colours of this. Cheapest is the Real Canadian Super Store, but check Amazon!
This hair colour is a great price, the best!

My natural hair is dark/dirty blonde with a greenish tint - very thin and Eastern European, so I colour it because I don't like it. Oh, and I also have some greys.

I don't get it done at home, usually because I'm scared to mess up, but sometimes life happens, and you have to lol. The first time I used this product was during COVID lockdowns. The second time is now; I just had a baby and no time to sit in a salon chair while waiting for them to finish their masterpiece.

So, the first time I used it, It came out the way I liked it. This time around is different. I used the same colour (6 - light brown), but the roots turned out brassy. Also, I do not see any highlights and tones, lol. I don't know if they changed the formula or my hair changed in four years. Perhaps it works differently on weak postpartum hair, but it did not work this time as well as I expected. It still looks good, and I have toning purple shampoo that I will use to "cool" the colour.

I'm happy as it is what i am looking for and fair priced, however, during its late journey to me, the dye box was bent open and contents were outside of the box. Also the delivery guy left package in mailbox where it clearly didn't fit. I would have preferred my content in a box but the dye contents were in a bubble wrap envelope. thank you for your efforts.
