I loved the idea of these to stop my toddler from walking in to any room she wishes. Within 20 mins she learned to push the door handle up (rather than down) to open the door.

This product does work as it’s supposed to and was easy to install. Just don’t underestimate a 2 year olds willpower to get into places they shouldn’t be.

We sadly aren’t keeping these. The door handles in our apartment need BOTH sides to turn in order to open the door. So if I were to go into the locked room and shut the door, this child lock would prevent me from opening the door back up from the opposite side. We didn’t quite think this through before purchasing so it’s more our fault than the product.
