There is always enough room on your child’s bookshelf for this Classic Board Book edition of the rollicking alphabet chant that has been a children’s favorite for over thirty years!

A told B,
and B told C,
“I’ll meet you at the
top of the coconut tree”

In this lively alphabet rhyme, all the letters of the alphabet race each other up the coconut tree. Will there be enough room? Oh, no—Chicka Chicka Boom! Boom!

Countless children—and their parents—can joyfully recite the familiar words of this beloved alphabet chant. Bill Martin, Jr., and John Archambault’s rhythmic text keeps the beat with Caldecott Honor illustrator Lois Ehlert’s bold, cheerful art. This winning combination has made the Chicka Chicka series an enduring classic.

This classic book is a fun way to learn the alphabet
Can’t go wrong with this classic children’s book! My daughter absolutely loves chicka chicka boom boom. It has a rhyming flow and is also a song. A fun way to learn the alphabet. The book is a good size, a little bigger than my hand not too heavy. The illustrations are vibrant, eye catching yet simple. I recommend this classic book.

This is a really fun read with a cute story, and we love that the last page has the whole alphabet printed out (that page gets a lot of mileage after each read). My only complaint is the rhyme scheme does force you into the american zee, so just be aware of that if it matters to you...I say zed anyway, who's gonna stop me!

I'm glad I ignored the reviews about the art/rhyming (yes it's simple art, babies love that. yes it rhymes, no idea what that person's damage is) but if you want something with more visual interest and the freedom of choice for zee/zed, I highly recommend LMNO Peas; our toddler loves both books

I bought this for my kid who comes home from daycare reciting it. The board book version is the full length; it’s not abbreviated. The first few pages are fun. As an adult reader, the amount of fun trails off at the end but it’s not for me after all anyway.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic book that is also a song and animated video

I bought this book on a whim only later to see it in a spotify recommendation as a song. There are many versions but the one by the original authors is the best. There is also a short video that accompanies the song by the original authors on youtube. Again, search for the original authors as there are many versions. My son first heard the song, then saw the video and once I showed him the book he was thrilled. We read it nearly every day.
