Form Over Function
TL;DR - A very practical, unassuming battery bank. Not the prettiest design, but it has it where it counts.INITIAL IMPRESSIONS AND USAGE- Build quality is pretty standard. All plastic outer construction, with a mix of matte and glossy plastic. Decent heft to it.- There is a very simple power percentage display on the front facing glossy face that seems accurate to me.- I personally hate glossy plastic. It picks up fingerprints and small scratches very easily as seen in the photos.- I am also not a fan of the rear design with the cables, but they are very practical. Not needing to carry an additional wire is also a big plus, so I'm torn.- The array of available connections though is great, having not only usb-c, usb-a, lightning, but also a micro usb has been very convenient. I hate micro usb with a passions, but so many legacy devices use the cursed connector, so having this integrated into the battery bank is a big plus.- I do not doubt that that the built in connectors are the weak point of the battery bank as repeated use will strain the internal wires, but we'll see how long it takes before they fail.- In terms of real world usage, I do think it works very well. The power output is sufficient enough to recharge my phone reasonably quickly. I also used it to power my M1 Macbook Pro Max whilst watching movies on Netflix and not only was it able to supply power, but also to slightly charge the device whilst the device was on peak brightness.Overall, it's a solid power bank with a good array of connectors. It's not the prettiest, but it'll get the job done. I think it is fairly priced compared to similar offerings on Amazon.*One issue I did run into, was when I plugged the powerbank into my Arteck wireless keyboard. Not only did I have to manually activate the powerbank to begin charging, it automatically turned off without fully charging the device. I haven't run into this issue with any other device thus far, but it is something to be aware of.4/5 Practical Stars
