Tap the side button and it will begin to display the charge in percent. Mine came shipped at 70% charge: the remaining 30% took about five to six hours, connected to my wall charger. One might find it charges faster with a more powerful charger; I used the integrated cable charger.
The unit can also be charged from the micro (or is it mini?) USB on the side, which I have not and will not test because it's old tech. The charger comes with its own cable with the same connector, which is thoughtfully not long enough to plug into itself and cause a short. I doubt a child could cause a fire if they managed to get alone time with this thing.
I have not tested the three ports on the bottom: two regular USB ports for charging other devices, and a USB-C connector for both charging the unit and other devices, depending on what's on the other end. Frankly, most people will only use the built-in cables, and that's probably why you got this particular charger. The USB-C connector is satisfying to click in and as sturdy a connection as a good-quality charging cable. The iPhone connector is similarly satisfying and usable.
Do note that the built-in cables are flat cables (almost like ribbon cables), so they do not twist easily. They are also quite short (again, so you can't plug the unit into itself and cause a fire). This is definitely a unit to use when you're charging something overnight while camping or something: the unit itself can be unwieldy if you try and use it while using your phone. I imagine then you'd need to bring your own charging cable.
If you want to charge using the built-in cable, keep in mind it's quite short. If your USB charger isn't on the ground or next to a desk, then you'll likely need to bring your own cable lest the unit is left hanging.
It comes with a rather sturdy and thick mesh bag, which has layers and feels somewhat cushioned.
The device says it can output the following amperage (at 5V):
MicroUSB input: 2A
USB cable input: 2A
USB-C port when used as input: 3A
MicroUSB cable output: 2.4 A
USB-C cable output: 2.4 A
Lightning cable output: 2.4 A
USB-C port when used as output: 3A
USB-A ports: 3A
As you notice, the device will charge 50% faster when plugged in with your own USB-C cable. Using the built-in cables is always slower than bringing your own. I suspect (as an ENT) that the included cables are too thin and have too much insulation to handle 3A continuously without getting hot.
Still, 2A input is plenty if you value convenience of not having cables. Unless you're expecting to fully drain it throughout the day and want to fully recharge overnight in a hotel room, 2A is plenty. 5V at 2A is 10 Wh per hour, or 3.7 hours for a full 37Wh charge (mathematically). In practice it will be slower because chemistry is never nice and neat (batteries are more chemistry than electronic), but not by much. 2.4 A at 5V is the most power that most phones will normally take anyways; it's really quite fast. You almost certainly will not need anything more than the built in cables.
I've attached some images. All in all, a very good unit that speaks to how far battery tech has come. The unit will easily fit in any pocket that can take a phone, and weighs 244.26 grams when fully charged.
The cables are all just long enough to fit the connectors into their slots, which will help keep them straight. If they become stretched they might no longer fit in as nicely; they're quite well built so I don't see that happening soon.
The pouch has two drawstrings and feels sturdy. The unit is shipped in a box filled with packing material (bubble plastic), and is placed on the bottom.
The display is underneath the plastic and when turned on is somewhat obvious the size of the display, but this isn't a luxury unit so that's to be expected. I've seen much worse on much more expensive products. When the battery indicator isn't active, the display is basically invisible.
The battery indicator will turn on for about a minute if you tap the button on the side, and it also turns on while charging something (and while being charged itself).

They do take a bit to recharge but that’s minor.
I’ve purchased several of these - both for our own family and as gifts. Highly recommend.
