About this item

  • [ Starvis 2 True 4K 3-Channel Dash Cam ] Using the latest 2023 SONY STARVIS 2 IMX678 sensor, the N4 Pro's front camera supports up to 4K 3840*2160 resolution in all 1CH/2CH/3CH options, delivering cinematic smooth 4K image quality that makes reading license plates a breeze, day or night. Monitor your car's front, interior, and rear simultaneously in 4K+1080P+1080P resolution, providing valuable evidence for insurance claims or disputes. It is perfect for family trips and Uber/Lyft drivers.
  • [ 4K HDR SONY STARVIS 2 Night Vision ] A quantum leap ahead of STARVIS, STARVIS 2 makes N4 Pro perform even better than human eye in photosensibility. This triple car cam can effectively reduce the reflection of light on license plate or other objects, eliminate artifacts from vehicles in motion and capture lower-noise images. The Cabin Camera with IR Light and HDR captures a clear view of the cabin even in unlit environments, making it a great choice for Uber, Rideshare, cab drivers, and families.
  • [OTA Firmware Update&Faster 5GHz Wi-Fi&GPS] Supports OTA upgrades on app to improve performance and updated features. With always-on 5GHz Wi-Fi, you can more easily access videos and photos recorded on your phone through "Vantrue" App, and share your travel scenery and moments to your family and friends on social media. Built-in GPS allows you to view your driving route and location on the app, and a speed stamp can be embedded in the video, which will provide additional evidence you may need.
  • [ Smart Voice Control & Easy to Detach ] This 3 way dash cam supports multiple languages voice control (English, Russian, Chinese and Japanese). When you want to quickly capture a beautiful scenery during your road trip, just speak “take photo”, the dashboard camera will auto take a photo and save the photo into the folder, providing you a hands-free using experience. Magnetic mount allows you to detach the camera from the mount easily without messing cables.
  • [ Buffered Parking Mode ] 4 parking modes with low light night vision make N4 Pro a reliable witness day and night. Buffered motion detection auto starts recording 10s before the movement detected to record the event completely. Motion detection area can be adjusted to detect key area. Any impact will be detected under collision detection, effectively avoiding disputes. Low bitrate and low frame rate mode help you greatly save storage space. Must be hardwired (Buy separately, ASIN: B08S392SMK).
  • [ Super Capacitor & Loop Recording ] Adopted a high-quality super capacitor and heat-resistant materials, this 3 lens dash cam has more excellent temperature resistance, longer lifespan and higher safety. No need to manually delete video files when the SD card is full to capacity, Loop Recording will auto overwrite the unlocked oldest files with the newest. This three channel dash cam supports 512GB SD card max, Vantrue micro SD card is recommended. (Buy separately, ASIN: B09SP5X2Y4)
  • [ Easy to Use & 18-month Warranty ] N4 Pro 3 camera dash cam gets power from cigarette lighter socket via car charger and automatically turn on and off with ignition, plug and play, effectively protecting your car battery from being drained. This triple dashcam comes with an extendable 18-month warranty and constantly updated firmware version for improvements and new features. If you need an extended 29.5ft rear camera cable for large vehicle, please contact Vantrue support team to get it.

A truelly impressive and complete car camera system
4 out of 5 stars
A truelly impressive and complete car camera system
I have tried to break this down into a few pertinent points...Packaging:The entire product was nicely (professionally) presented and packaged. Each item unwrapped was well protected by the packaging. You are left with the impression that a lot of care and preparation has gone into the packaging, manual and product presentation... all of which is good as the entire product looks and feels top notch.Camera's:There are 2 camera units each with two camera's. The primary (bigger of the two units provided) has a forward facing camera and a rear facing camera. This would typically be mounted on your front window. The second smaller unit (which also has two camera's) is for rear facing traffic and also for looking back into the vehicle (which is nice as you can then see what is happening behind you without having to turn around). You should note that the primary camera has a solid feel and weight to it. Aesthetically speaking the camera's look professional and classy.Cables:USB A to C for the power cable (12v) and USB C to USB C for connecting the rear camera. The cable is long and really solidly made... No concerns about kinking or damaging this.Manual:Big... comes in multiple languages but it is really well organized. Easy to follow and for once good large sized colour pictures to follow. 5 stars for this!Installation:Not difficult but the main forward facing unit is quite compact and heavy and although it has not fallen off, I do not get the sense that it is secure enough to remain where I have placed it (double sided tape is provided but a suction cup similar to what is used for mounting cell phone holders would have been a better choice or even a way to hang it securely off the rear mirror). I have the feeling that, especially if there is an accident or substantial road bump, the unit will come free ... it has not as yet but...Running the wires is something that will vary for each vehicle but suffice to say the cable provided is long enough (and has a really solid built/feel) for the task. In terms of setting up the camera - date, time, etc... there are a lot (did I mention a lot) of features for this unit ... Basic setup takes about 5 minutes but if you want to delve deeper into this, you should set a good 45 minutes aside. Placement of the front camera unit should be given some consideration as it has a camera that also faces into the vehicle and so cannot be placed, for example, behind the rear mirror. The best place I found was high up and to the right of the rear mirror so the camera was not obstructing my view and generally not distracting me.Some favourite features:Setting the resolution on the cameras was surprisingly easy and there were a number of variations/options per individual camera or per unit - 5 stars again. This is a nice feature as obviously the higher the resolution (per camera) the more memory the unit requires. Vantrue sells a 256gig card that I purchased and would recommend... probably last a week before the recording starts to overwrite saved images (assuming you have set Loop Recording to between 1 and 3 minutes).Night pictures on high resolution were surprisingly clear which is probably one of the most important features I can think of.One feature I have not had a chance to try but will is voice control.Once you have downloaded the software onto your phone, connecting and viewing the images saved is relatively simple (again, nicely done).A feature I generally avoid:The buffered parking/motion detection is something I personally avoid... these sort of features have a tendency to cause unintended issues (in the past I have read about other units that have drained the car battery).Overall a fantastic camera that has all the best features one could ask for. It is getting cold and I have found this has not impacted the camera which speaks to it's build quality...I would highly recommend this unit.

I was looking for a dashcam system to upgrade my old single channel dashcam. This dashcam system suited my needs. The 3 channels provides complete coverage in the front, back, and the inside with excellent video quality in both day and night. Been using it for a few days and all I can say is that I'm impressed. Comes with lots of features, like GPS and voice control. Voice control is pretty responsive, but sometimes might not pick up the command. Not a big issue though since I don't use the voice control that much.

Connecting to the dashcam via the app is really simple. Although the dashcam has a screen, the live preview from the phone made setting up the dashcam position so much easier. Easily view and download the video clips from the app, and downloading clips over the 5GHz wifi is quite quick too. All the settings can also be set from the app, which makes changing settings so much easier than setting on the dashcam itself (though you can still do that). This dashcam will record 3 separate files (front, rear, and cabin), so be sure to get a large memory card.

You might think you don't need a interior cabin camera, but let me tell you, the interior cabin camera is not just for rideshare drivers. Sometimes the police can make mistakes and might accuse you of something you didn't do. But you need evidence to prove your innocence. If the police pulls you over because they think you were looking at your phone while driving but you were not, then you have video proof from the cabin camera proving you were not on your phone. The interior cabin camera angle is wide enough to capture the movements of the driver and passenger, and even backseat passengers (depending on where you install it). Or if the police says you or your passenger weren't wearing your/their seatbelt when you/they actually were, then you have video proof of that as well. Or if you get robbed in the car, you have video of the criminal's face. These things can be hard to prove in court, so having video evidence here will be very useful. Having been burned before because I didn't have interior camera to record my actions to prove myself innocent, I cannot stress enough the importance of protecting yourself these days, whether from the police or from other cars or people, and having this dashcam system will be super useful in proving your innocence.

Only con I have about this is the slow start up. It takes maybe about 7-8 seconds after starting the car and the power port becomes active before the dashcam will boot up. Not a big problem for me though.

Overall, a great dashcam with excellent quality and features, and I'm happy that I've invested in this dashcam to give me the peace of mind knowing I have protection in case an incident happens. You cannot go wrong with this dashcam.

The Vantrue 4 channel dashcam is a quality, feature-rich dashcam that is easy to use and truly plug and play. We didn’t encounter a single glitch during setup or daily use and it has proven to be a very reliable, strong performing dashcam for our family vehicle. The app is very easy to use and the product is backed by amazing customer service.

Packaging and First Impressions
The packaging is premium. Every item is well packaged and protected. All 4 lenses have protective plastic over them. The unboxing experience had a premium feel to it.

Install
The install and setup was a breeze from running the wires with the provided tool and instructions, to following the prompts on the screen when powering up the dashcam for the first time. The menu and the app are intuitive to use and not overcrowded with options, giving us the ability to choose which channels to record or turn off and at different resolutions, set sensitivity, turn on/off voice control, mileage statistics tracking etc. We appreciated the reminders along critical install stages to help avoid redos or mistakes and we are glad that there was an extra set of sticking pads provided as we may move this dashcam to our larger vehicle. It’s also very nice to see that Vantrue has thought about installs for longer 3 row suvs. The install instructions for the hardwire kit (purchased separately) were easy to follow as well.

Daily use
The dashcam has performed flawlessly over the last few weeks without a glitch or any frustration in daily operation. The image is great during the day and at night and I feel there is sufficient coverage in the event of an incident. I didn’t really think I would need the 4 channel all around view but it provided an additional sense of security when we can switch to certain parking mode and can leave our vehicle with whatever we are towing parked overnight with a little more piece of mind.

Customer support
Vantrue customer service is where they have left a strong impression; we’ve reached out with questions and they have responded within 24-48 hours with a clear response and a willingness to help. It also appears that Vantrue is keeping up with their firmware updates.

This dashcam has useful features that are easy to use on a daily basis but most importantly, it’s a dashcam that appears to be reliable and that we feel we can depend on.

5.0 out of 5 stars Vantrue N5: Great Dash Cam To Cover All Angles
Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2024
Size: Vantrue N5Verified Purchase
So I ordered the Vantrue N5 to upgrade from my existing dashcam. The one I had previously recorded the outside of the front and back. I wanted something that would also record the inside. The installation was pretty easy. The only difficult part is running the cables and hiding them. Thankfully Vantrue includes a pry tool so you can pry along your doors and ceiling to hide the cables. Be careful when you mount as the included cleaning pad had some type of chemical that messed up the plastic piece I mounted the front camera to. I would recommend just using rubbing alcohol to clean the area before mounting.

As far as the video goes, it is super clear and great quality. It gets all the angles I need, including the front, driver and passenger, rear, and rear cargo. The quality is good enough to be able to get license plate numbers and the cameras lenses are wide enough to capture everything you would need. It has lots of other cool features like wifi connection to your phone, gps, speed detection, etc. It has a parking mode but I haven't really used it since I don't have a battery to hook it up to.

I would definitely recommend this camera for those who want to capture both outside and inside. It is perfect if you're driving uber or lyft or if you'd just like to protect yourself from all the bad drivers out there!

This is a great dashcam. First off the video quality and general performance is great. The starvis 2 sensor really impresses when looking at the picture quality. You can clearly read license plates day or night which not all dash cams can do. This is the real test of a dash cam. It records the front rear and inside of your vehicle with good night vision and 4K HDR. The voice control feature is great and lets your control the dash cam hands free. It has a gps which shows your location on a map synchronized to the video recording. So when you watch your dash cam videos you can see your car moving along the map and where it is at each point in the recording. The gps also shows your speed at the time of recording. It has WiFi so you easily download the recordings to your phone and send them to whoever you want in just a moment. Some dash cams you have to take out the sd card and put it into a computer but this one is simple and controlled with an easy to use phone app. The parking mode is great for monitoring for accidents when your car is parked. Parking mode recording can be set to turn on when it detects motion or when it detects a collision. I recommend getting the odb2 hardwire kit so you can easily hard wire the dashcam to your car by just plugging it in to the odb2 port. Either way the dashcam is easy to setup and can be done by anyone. Overall I would say this is a great dashcam with superb picture quality and loads of useful features and I would also say it is a very good value for the money.

Bad Wolf
5.0 out of 5 stars Offers great protection and features on the road with 4 more eyes to keep watch!
Reviewed in the United States on June 14, 2024
Size: Vantrue N5Verified Purchase
The Vantrue N5 is an impressive option to help cover your car and yourself and it offers comprehensive protection on the road. The advanced features like night vision, voice control, GPS tracking, and the most useful, 4 separate channels (4 cameras) for full 360° recording for your car by covering all the general blind spots inside and outside of the car. This dash camera provides peace of mind to almost any driver. I have had dash cams before but never one that offered so much coverage and the secondary unit that watches the rear end of the car adds to the impressive package.

I found the night vision to be detailed and clear in low-light conditions, providing clear footage even during nighttime driving. The voice control feature adds an awesome layer of convenience, allowing you to operate the dash cam hands-free, ensuring your focus remains on the road ahead. Additionally, the GPS functionality provides accurate location data, which can be crucial in the event of an accident or dispute, and includes the standard info like the time, date, and license but I found the option to record the speedometer and long/lat and imbed the info the video to very helpful for when the recordings are offloaded from the system.

It took me a couple of hours to have the cables routed and neatly hidden while routing from the back of the car. I don’t know if this would be the same for everyone, but I have a mid-size SUV and went through more trouble than expected to make sure the cables were neither seen nor pinched once everything was close. I have not yet been able to make use of the 24-hour Buffered Parking or Sentry modes as this requires constant power but I hope to get the system wired to the battery at some point for this. When the option is set up with power, you gain the option for automatically recording any incidents or movements detected around your car, once parked.

My biggest complaint with use so far was the SD card restrictions where the system either didn’t detect it at all or complained that it was too slow to use so I had to purchase a new SD card before I could use or access the system at all. I do understand that it’s best in the long run as you wouldn’t want the system to fail due to an incompatible SD card, but it was just an unexpected inconvenience, so I recommend making sure to have a compatible card handy before purchasing the system. I would think at this price point that the SD card would be included, especially if the system requires specific speeds to be compatible with.

I found the menu and controls of the Vantrue N5 to be fairly straightforward with a user-friendly interface. Each camera can be displayed simultaneously or independently based on your view settings. Though keep in mind, that you’d be seeing this from a rather small screen compared to your phone. There are some items on the menus that could certainly do better with a little explanation or offer some detail as to what they are for. (Google is your friend). connectivity, of these options was the built-in WiFi connectivity which allowed for easy access to footage directly from your phone and to change settings without having to use the system menu directly. The WiFi option also allows for OTA updates to the system as taking it down and inside regularly would be a pain.

Overall, the Vantrue N5 is a complete (if not expensive) investment for any driver looking to enhance their safety and coverage on the road. With its comprehensive coverage, advanced features, and ease of use, it can offer peace of mind and protection on any trip, long or short.

Intro: Vantrue continues to impress.
I’ve used/tested a dozen or more dash cams, most of them from Vantrue. This review is based upon a few hours of installing and checking out how it operates. If I have a major change, will make an update to this review.

Photos: unopened box, camera mounted on front window (using cigarette plug) with intent to hard wire soon, and a low resolution snapshot of the screen (actual camera quality much higher).

Pros: First impressions are pretty good. The packaging and components (cords, camera, manual, etc) all feel solid and high quality. The box was complete, having everything that was supposed to come with it.
-Camera: overall first impressions are good, though a bit thicker than some of my other Vantrue cameras, the mounting system is low profile, which gives it an overall smaller footprint. Initial picture quality seems to rival the other top tier Vantrue cams.
-Mounting/Cables- the mounting on this camera is by a self adhesive sticker. In my application, I think this is an upgrade from the traditional suction cup, though I don’t intend to swap it around from car to car. I really like the new magnetic mounting clip (links the camera chassis to the mount), very easy on and off, doesn’t feel like I’m about to crack the mechanism as there are no moving parts. Cables are very solid, high quality feel (see cons also) and in my Honda CRV application are plenty long.
Wi-Fi: I got it up and running in under a few mins. Once linked, it worked solid. Really liked the opportunity to see the videos, and access the camera settings. Way better than punching the small buttons on the camera. Easily accomplished a firmware update (via the Wi-Fi; ie no memory card used or cables needed…nice).
-manual: the English version is well written and easy to understand.
-Vantrue: overall I’ve always had good luck with tech support, thus far I haven’t used them in this camera, but it’s an important pro for me and why I continue to use their products.

Cons: to set the stage, the cons are pretty light so far. I’d say these are more of nice to have or general observations.

Camera- on the camera settings itself, like setting up the date, Vantrue still hasn’t fixed the opposite direction of their buttons (user has to push the up button to go earlier in time, or the down button to go forward in time). To me this is backwards; it’s a minor annoyance, not at all a show stopper.
Mounting: package comes with a thin electrostatic plastic film that goes between the glass and the camera adhesive mount. Functionally it works fine. It’s a bit bigger than probably needed, I had trouble getting all the bubbles out, and though discussed in the manual, we did have to read the instructions several times to understand it’s use. Btw, I think it’s used to help keep the camera adhered to the window, and yet allow a user at some later date to uninstall the whole system without dealing with the difficulty of the adhesive being directly to the window glass.
Cables: listed as a pro because the cables really do seem high quality gear; as a con, they are slightly thick, making it a bit more interesting to route the rear camera cable. Almost afraid to list it as a con, I don’t want the quality to go down at all… I like the high quality gear… I just note routing is a bit more difficult.
Auto off: I’m not sure what it would take to incorporate a low voltage auto off feature or timer might be a huge engineering hurdle … Vantrue doesn’t seem to put this feature on their cameras … I use the Vantrue hard wire cable for this, not big of a deal since I need to hardwire anyway, but if it was organic to the camera itself, I think having it would be listed as a pro.

Conclusion: Im initially really liking this model. I think Vantrue has incorporated all of the best features into this camera. Is it perfect? Probably somewhat depends on the users needs. I like my old Vantrue cameras, but if this model continues to impress, I’ll probably upgrade my other 2 cars. This system hits pretty much all the items I’m interested in.

I don’t have a lot of experience in using dashcams, I only want to note some things I liked very much in this dash cam.

1. The ability to connect to a smartphone and view all footage on the smartphone screen. Even though the screen of a dashcam is big, it's much more convenient to do that on a bigger smartphone screen. So you can also send a video or screenshot to someone. For me this is a killing feature. Connecting to a smartphone is really fast and easy. Just follow the steps in the instruction.
2. It has 3 (!!!) cameras - front, rear and cabin camera.
3. It has literally everything you need to install a dashcam - all the cables, stickers and even dust-free cloth. It was really easy to install this thing. But… I wish they would include a microSD card.
4 .The device looks and feels very impressive - the screen is large, the buttons are physical, which is an advantage for me. Everything is assembled well and solidly - the device looks expensive.
5. Picture quality is fascinating and it looks really clear on the PC monitor. You can clearly see all the details happening on the road, and most importantly, car numbers are read perfectly
Overall, Vantrue Nexus 4 Pro is a solid choice for anyone who values safety. Yes, the device is not cheap but it is worth every penny.
