I was excited to test this 3-channel dash cam from TOPGOOSE through the Amazon Vine program. Having eyes on my car's front, back, and inside offered a real sense of security. That said, there were definitely some quirks and a learning curve to get the most out of it.

Setup: Getting started was straightforward. The instructions were clear, and I appreciated that the rear camera design made positioning it less of a headache.
Footage: The front camera delivered good 1080p video, even on dim, rainy days. However, like many dash cam brands, even the premium ones, they fail to capture legible readings for car plate numbers beyond 10 feet. I tested this on many dash cams, and it seems that they all use the same sensor. The inside and rear cameras did their job, though, at a lesser resolution. It's also not possible to make out fine details like license plates from a distance.
Peace of Mind: Knowing those three cameras are running while I'm on the road, especially with passengers, is genuinely reassuring. Since my car is for personal and family use, I'm usually keen on capturing the inside of my car. If you work as a driver, then it's crucial.

Where It Needs Work

Features vs. Reality: While I could technically record on all three channels, some advertised features like motion detection proved unreliable, randomly turning off by themselves.
App Hassle: Downloading videos through the Wi-Fi app was frustratingly slow. Plus, having your phone tied to the camera's hotspot to use the app means no internet access until you reconnect.
Memory Card: I'd recommend upgrading the included memory card. The one it comes with seemed to cause some initial glitches.

Overall, this dash cam isn't perfect, but for the price, it delivers basic coverage where it counts. If you're tech-savvy and patient enough to troubleshoot the occasional hiccup, it's a worthwhile investment. If you're looking for a totally seamless, feature-rich experience, however, it might be worth exploring more expensive options.

Well, the instructions are for a previous model, or firmware perhaps.
Reading those, and then the reviews apparently referring to those instructions, I was skeptical.

So, this all got hooked up on my desk first, not my car. This is a real review.

Things I found:

Instruction sheet (and several reviews) says you can only record two streams is incorrect. When you plug in the back camera, all three streams record, every time. There isn't even a way to turn one off, other than unplugging the external camera.

Video quality: great on the forward camera. Pretty good on the interior camera. Not great on the external rear facing camera.
It's OK for video evidence of that guy hitting your back bumper, while the front cam shows a red light, though.

Options: Motion trigger. This works, for a while, then it doesn't. It records several clips then the option just turns itself off. And the recording stops too. So don't use that. It's a bad idea anyway, at a quiet intersection, nothing moving in front of you, motion detect sees no motion, so no video, and a guy sideswipes you. You'd miss that accident with motion detect because it only watches the front camera.
I tried this with and without the "G-Sensor”, as it appears to be a vibration sensor.

Parking: I kind of made that work, by turning Parking + G-Sensor + motion, and it recorded a locked clip when I tapped it with my hand. I had a couple successful clips.
I didn't pursue this very far, because the instructions say to never leave Parking (or motion!) turned on for driving, you have to set both manually EVERY time you park on two different config screens. I thought this mode would just be automatic when you parked. This doesn't interest me at all. I tried it anyway, and ran into the same problem as before. The Motion detect just goes away after a while, and the recording stops completely.

Phone App: For bandwidth reasons, to watch the video on your phone, this operates on WiFi, not bluetooth. Which means connecting your phone to a local hotspot the camera creates, every time. Then you have no internet, because it's a hotspot without internet, right? It's very annoying. I'd rather just have the files and utilities available on the app, download the videos to play them, and use BLUETOOTH instead. That's not how this works though.
The camera continues working while streaming to your cell phone. But the camera is stuck on the "WIFI" screen, you can't exit or use any functions or buttons while connected to your phone.

The APP Viidure, works OK, and there are a few camera settings in there. Not all, just a few. Plus you can download your video clips into your phone.
(HINT: Its much faster to just put the card in your computer with a card reader)

Through 2 days of testing, I didn't experience any lockups while in WiFi mode, or during testing the camera.

For what you get, it will do the job. You don't need to connect your phone all that often, or use motion, or parking modes. Then you have a 3 camera 1080/720/720 system for $89 at the time of this review. That's OK, there's some value there, especially an uber driver situation when you need a camera on the back seat. I’d like a 3.5 star rating for this one.

It's not hard to notice for $20 to $40 more there are 4k/2.5k systems with much higher res cameras, that may have better functionality. I don’t have one to compare, but just saying it's worth thinking about.

This is the cheapest 3 channel camera on Amazon at the time of purchase. It also has all of the features you'd want. The only thing it seems to be missing is GPS.

The main reason I went with this product, other than price, is that they were actually honest about the specs. Most other cameras lie about the resolution and memory card size especially.

This camera does 1080p for front 720p for inside, and I believe 720p for back, but I'm not 100% certain about the back as I've not really installed and used it. I have tested it though and it works. These resolutions are more than good enough for the camera to perform it's function.

The only minor gripe I have is with the instructions being a bit hard to understand, but I get it. Heck. The person who translated it speaks at least two languages, and I only speak one.

The instructions also say the device is limited to 32gb, but the card that comes with it says 64gb, and based on what I've seen so far as far as the amount of video it can hold 64gb tracks.

Oh and the device is much smaller than I was expecting which is nice.

The only thing I could see being an issue at some point would be durability since I just recently bought it, but I'll update if it's a problem.

If you have any reservations don't. Go ahead and buy it. It's a quality product at an awesome price.

Some people complain about the lack of wifi connection instructions. You can access it a couple of ways. You can hold the left or they call it the up arrow to activate wifi. You connect to the camera's wifi network, and put in the displayed password. Super easy. You can also hold the M key to get into the menu. Then single press the M key to go to the setup menu, this works from the video or the camera menu, then scroll down to wifi. Click on it. Connect to the device wifi and enter the displayed password. Super easy. There is also an option to use a QR code right below regular wifi, but I haven't tried it.

This product was sent to me to review, as part of Amazon Vine. Below is my own real-world experience of using it.

In terms of quality, it has a fairly robust build, though the plastic feels a little on the thin side - you might want to take extra care when using it. Regardless, it is compact and very lightweight, so, no trouble to mount up high in the car. The cables in the box are all decently long, allowing for easier installation (this includes the reversing camera).

For a budget camera, the picture is surprisingly clear and detailed, with minimal noise especially during low-light situations.

I would say that the interface is user-friendly - you can switch camera modes quickly (for example, to decide if you would like to have both the dash and the driver-facing lenses on at the same time, or just the dashcam, etc.). The controls are ergonomic and labelled in a way that is easy to understand. I found the buttons fairly responsive, though did encounter a software crash during use. It seems that there are some issues with the included micro SD card, so it may be better to use a reliable, branded alternative.

Overall, a handy, good value item.
