Amazing binocular! I got into bird watching to spend time outdoors during the pandemic. Did some research and found this 8x42 as a second hand Amazon approved for a great price. The build of it is sturdy and feels firm when holding it. The glass is amazing, super clear and in low light situation works well. Sharp bird images and great colours. This is my first binocular and I’m happy with it. I believe its a great affordable gadget to start with. Comes with a front and back lens coverings and a pouch.

These are very good binoculars. I was impressed that they are so clear and bright. We were able to see quite a distance away very clear on our cruise. I do this these are good quality and value for the money. Comes in a nice little case

I know that these have been reviewed on other sites, so I will only give a short description here. Overall I like these. If I was to compare them I would compare them to my Nikon Monarch 3s. I have a few pairs of the Nikon Monarchs, and the optics in these Celestron are just as clear.
Shape, size, weight, close focus, clarity, eye relief are all very comparable. Both are waterproof/fogproof (I always test my binos in a bucket of water). Big bonus for the Celestrons is that the eye cap protectors actually stay on (which is a big FOOEY for NIKON). Additionally these are much less expensive.
The only issue I had is the diopter adjustment does not seem to be zeroed. My eyes are not as good as they were before, but they are now equally bad meaning that the adjustment should be at the neutral mark. This is the only pair I have that I have to adjust the diopter to suit my eyes. I should note that I got these as "used-very good" from Amazon Warehouse Deals. I would give these a 5 if not for the diopter centering. I'm not sure that it is because they are used, or if it just a price versus quality factor (in comparison to Nikon).
I would still highly recommend these for their price point.

I wanted binoculars for a vacation I took where I'd be doing alot of nature walks and high viewing spots. I've never owned binoculars before and I wanted something easy to use, lightweight and good for eyeglasses. These are great! Focus is clear (including closer objects), haze is minimal, and good for night gazing. I also like that they have the option to use a tripod if I want to in the future.

I have had lots of experience with cheap porro prism and roof prism binoculars. Decided to get these to get into birding and wildlife spotting. To my eyes they are amazing!!! I can't believe the detail, colour, and low light performance. I can't comment on how they compare to more high-end binos, but if you are new to binoculars these will blow you away. Pretty wide field of view makes bird spotting easy. Ergonomics are good and 17.5mm eye relief works well with glasses. I didn't even know what I was missing. Highly recommended.

Solid quality binoculars. Easy to use and the magnification is crystal clear. Glad I got the eight times magnification as the 10 probably would have made things a little more jittery.

I have been birding all my life and this is the best binocular I had so far. Great field of view, easy to focus, good grip and good size. They are a good weight for what they offer. Of course, we would always prefer something even lighter when hiking long distance, but they are built solid. Also, I lost the caps and Celestron sent me free replacements! That was a very nice touch and my next binocular will definitively be Celestron again. Highly recommend, for the price, they are highly rated everywhere.

I am just starting birding and this class of binoculars was suggested by an experienced neighbour......good enough to enjoy the pass time without spending enormously. I tried out a few brands and models in the under $200 range and found these to be quite good....echoing the views of professional reviewers.
I missed the Holiday period as these were sold out, but ordered them in early January. They were delivered in 2 days by standard shipping an were very competitively priced. My initial impressions are very positive....clear and bright, easy to focus, fairly light and comfortable in the hands. While neither the focus, nor the diopter adjustments lock, they seem to hold their positions.
I like the lens covers on both ends, although the "pros" advise I may not use them much in practice. Looks like a great start to bird watching.
Update 2024. Still using these binoculars after 7 years. As a casual, but regular birder, they are all I need. I highly recommend these for those starting to bird. Sure you can pay many times this price, but for most these are sufficient.

I bought these binoculars to go on a safari trip. I’m glad I did. I’ve had other small binoculars that have been very helpful. It in sporting situations and things like that. These made a world of difference in our ability to spot wildlife at a distance. Great for birding.

I am happy with these Celestron – Nature DX 10x42 Binoculars. They collect light well and provided a clear, sharp picture. There was some color loss in strong light near sunset and they had just a little blurring near the edges of the view. I can feel their weight when hung around my neck, but would be lightweight to carry in a backpack or in a hip pack. I recommend these field glasses.

I wear glasses and have far more experience with rifle scopes. That being said what little bird watching i have done along with squirrels and other botanical looking about it seems to have a pretty darn clear sight picture with spot on focus and fairly good color. You can spend more for some ED glass. However i am on a budget & if i am shelling out $$$ for ED optics it is going to be for a camera lens as 8 of 10 times i will be switching to a camera & i do not hunt or even target shoot any more so binoculars are what i am carrying with my camera. I have owned just a few cheap binoculars and used a few others and these seem to be the best i have used in this size class and yes some lower power with VERY close focus and better glass.
Everything is a cost and quality compromise & i would say these are a very solid choice for serious nature watching and even come close to being pretty good for looking at the moon, but that's what my 15x70 are for. I am a big person though and the weight is no issue though for some people who plan on all day use a less heavy set of binoculars or better glass if these are more integral to your plans for them. For me though i like the power and eye relief & seemingly rugged construction and the light transmission seems quite good as well as i have not noticed many serious light issues and without going into much boring detail i have used some rifle scopes & binoculars that are much worse as well as camera lenses though most of those are far better and cost much more. Bottom line you might get lucky with some more obscure brand and find a better buy, but i have found like with everything else you should do your own research. Or you can just take the recommendation of bird watchers who say these are good and just buy these and see if they are what you want. The reason you have so many choices is that preferences in optics can be quite individual. So whatever you choose i wish you sucess in finding what is best suited to your needs.

Estaba buscando unos binoculares nuevos que no fueran tan costosos ya que los anteriores tenían muchos años conmigo y eran muy pesados, estos binoculares son muy livianos y tienen una gran luminosidad en comparación con los anteriores.
