Very much like this, would highly recommend over others I've tried! First and most important this has awesome image quality in the entire field of view! I saw Jupiter's red bands and 4 of its moons. Also saw the ring around Saturn - just amazing. The craters on our own Moon are a much easier target and also very spectacular.
The EQ 127 and most all other models with the short fat ("folded") tubes use a "Bird-Jones" design. Stay away from those! By design they will only ever be "sort of sharp" in one small area of the field of view - impossible to focus! (check out Bird Jones issues on google) Get a long tube like this!
The Equitorial mount is of good quality. It can be a bit humbling to learn to use but makes it much easier to track a target once set up. Targets are always moving in (and out of) the field of view due to the motion of all celestial bodies and this will track them precisely with the turn of a single knob opposed to a pan/tilt mount.
The eye pieces are adequately good but only 2 are included (plus a barlow). If you like what you see but want better you may consider upgraded eyepieces. They are easy to find in this common 1.25 inch standard size and made a good improvement in my experience.
This turned out to be exactly what I wanted: not too big, well priced, powerful and functional.
After a few disappointments with others I finally found the right one!

Check mirrors for alignment
Don't use a laser colminater on this scope because it won't work with this type of telescope. You can however line up the secondary mirror with a laser ,but the primary mirror defuses the laser so much that you can t line up the dot on the laser target. You will have to use a col.minating cap instead. Which I am in the process of doing. Just an add on for those who are a bit mechanical, you can remove the barlow inside the focuser by removing the three screws holding it to the tube. Try to do this with the tube level so the nuts won't fall back towards the mirror. When you replace the focuser you will need to us some duct tape to hold the nuts on the inside, unless you can hold them there with your hand, but tape is much easier. Now back to the focuser ,on the inside back there is a plastic ring that holds this lens to the focuser ,the ring has two small groves which can be turned by using a flat tiny eyeglass tool ,shown in picture. Tap the grove with this small tool with the but of a normal screw driver or small hammer counterclockwise. The ring will losen continue to turn it counterclockwise, untill you can grab it with your fingers and remove it. Now gently turn the focuser the other way and tap it against your hand until the barlow lens comes out. Set it aside keeping it the same way it came out, it will go back only one way so if you get mixed up. It should sink a bit into the hole it came out of. Now replace the focuser ,without the lens you took out , and fasten back to the screws. Now you can put the laser back the focuser, and turn it on. You will now get a clear small dot on the target, and you can adjust the screws on the back of the tube to move the dot into the centre of the target on the laser. Make sure the laser target is facing the back of the telescope when you insert it into the focuser . Now you can take the focuser off the tube again. Put the barlow back into the focuser, and tighten the ring gently. Put the focuser back onto the tube and your done
