How do I activate my SIM card?

Activate anytime online at jethromobile.com or contact support 7 days a week (6AM-5PM PST). Activations can be scheduled up to 60 days in advance (and cancelled if your trip is rescheduled) or started immediately. Use a US address during activation.

Can I keep my phone number for a future trip?

Yes, we keep your phone number available for renewal for 45 days after your plan expires. Not traveling in the next 60 days? Add our starter plan to extend the amount of time for your next renewal.

Do these plans work while I'm still in Canada?

No, our service only works in the United States. However, we do offer unlimited calling from the States to Canada. Once you are in the States, insert your SIM card (if you haven't already), turn your phone off and back on again, and enjoy the service

I bought the Jethro sim card for our trip to Florida traveling from Canada. I've contacted Jethro twice with concerns, one that I will receive it in time and was guaranteed I would. Once I received it I called with questions and activated it 11 days in advance to get my new US number to pass on to family which is a bonus. Erick was very efficient in activating my sim card. He confirmed it was compatible with my phone as well that Jethro covered and have service in the areas we will be staying by providing the zip codes of our destination.Erick answered all my questions and explained when to insert the sim card etc.in order to start using it while traveling to our destination. I did learn something and I recommend you call them first prior to purchasing to confirm the above. But Erick comforted me saying no problem should there have been an issue if I couldn't use it. Very happy with my experience with Jethro so hopefully everything works out. Thank you Jethro!!!

This SIM Card is awesome. I registered 1 week before I left (give them your travel dates and an address in your travel location). They email you a confirmation and your new phone number. I put in the SIM when I was on the plane and it worked perfectly upon arrival. I use an iPhone and have iCloud backup. All my contact info, email and apps were there. (There is an option to keep your old number but I didn’t choose that option). Incredible value for money since my cellphone provider charges $16 per day. Highly recommend it.

I made the mistake of waiting until I arrived in the US to connect, I had already left the airport so I had to find wifi to set up my account.

You can save yourself the hassle and do this at the airport prior to you leaving, you can even do it at home and set a specific date that it will become activated!

It was extremely easy to use, I had no connection issues! It is the most cost effective way to use your phone while out of the country.

I don't mind that I had a different phone number, it wasn't an issue for me, but if you need to be contacted on your own # this won't work.

one bonus is you can sign up for many freebies from stores with a new phone number and it allows access to things you need a US phone number for :)

I like the option of being able to call and set up every thing prior to my arrival. When Angie from Jethro mobile walk me through the process it was very easy, so when I inserted the SIM card my phone start up right away. It couldn't have worked any better unless there was actually a better coverage on the island we were on in Hawaii. Now we just have to wait and see if it works as good on the other islands we're going to. Only thing different I would have liked is the ability to have my same phone number ported but because I'm a Canadian resident I couldn't Port it. Of course the pro to that is nobody could reach me from work.

With the crazy rates cell companies are charging for coverage outside of Canada this product was a fantastic find. Worked exactly as advertised. I activated the phone 4 days before my trip so I could share the number with family but set the effective date to the day before my trip. I changed the SIM card in my phone while at the duty free parking lot. Left the phone off until I crossed into the USA. Once I turned my phone on everything worked great. No issues while traveling to/from Florida from Ontario (road trip). Will definitely use again for further trips.
