Disclaimers

1. Wireless printing requires a working network with wireless 802.11b/grams or n capability. Wireless performance may vary based on terrain and distance between the printer and wireless network clients.

2. Requires the Canon print Inkjet/SELPHY app, available for free on the App Store and at Google Play. Compatible with iPad, iPhone 3GS or later, and iPod touch 3rd generation or later devices running iOS 7.0 or later, and Android mobile devices running Android 2.3.3 or later. Your device must be connected to the same working network with wireless 802.11 b/g/n capability as your printer. Certain functions require an internet connection. For users of compatible Apple mobile devices, document printing requires Apple AirPrint, which requires an AirPrint-enabled printer connected to the same network as your iOS device. A printer connected to the USB port of your Mac, PC, AirPort Base station, or Time Capsule is not supported.

3. AirPrint functionality requires an iPad, iPhone 3GS or later, or iPod touch 3rd generation or later device running iOS 4.2 or later, and an AirPrint-enabled printer connected to the same network as your iOS device. A printer connected to the USB port of your Mac, PC, AirPort Base station, or Time Capsule is not supported.

4. Requires Android mobile device with Android 4.4 operating system or later with the Mopria Print Service pre-loaded with that device and the compatible PIXMA printer on the same wireless network. The Mopria experience is also available on Android 4.4 mobile devices with a download of the Mopria Print Service from Google Play.

5. Requires an Internet connection and Google account. Subject to Google Terms of Service. Certain exceptions may apply.

6. Resolution may vary based on printer driver setting. Color ink droplets can be placed with a horizontal pitch of 1/4800 inch at minimum.

7. ISO/IEC 24734, 24735 define the default print and copy speed measurement methods. Print speeds are the averages of ESAT in Office Category Test for the default simplex mode, ISO/IEC 24734, excluding time to print the first set. Copy speed is the average of FCOT, ISO/IEC 24735 Annex D.

8. To install using Windows OS, .NET Framework 4 is required. Compatible still image formats are PDF (created using Canon PDF Creator only), JPEG (Exif), TIFF, and PNG. Compatible video formats are MOV (from select Canon digital cameras only) and MP4 (from select Canon digital camcorders only).

9. 'Full HD Movie Print' is available from 'MOV' and 'MP4' movie files created by select Canon EOS, PowerShot, and VIXIA digital cameras and camcorders. Requires PC or Mac with Intel processor and Canon ZoomBrowser EX 6.5 or later or Canon ImageBrowser 6.5 or later for 'MOV' files, or Canon ImageBrowser EX 1.0 or later for 'MOV' or 'MP4' files. Print quality is determined by the video resolution. Function does not upscale video resolution.

10. DPS over IP compatible device required.

11. Requires a Windows RT compatible device and the Canon Easy-PhotoPrint app for Windows RT available for free in the Windows Store.

12. Envelopes and High Resolution Paper are not supported for borderless printing.

13. Works edited by using this application cannot be displayed, edited, or printed without this application. 15. Photo print speeds are based on the standard mode driver setting using photo test pattern(s) and select Canon Photo Paper. Print speed is measured as soon as first page begins to feed into printer and will vary depending on system configuration, interface, software, document complexity, print mode, types of paper used, and page coverage.

16. For network users, Auto Scan Mode is available only when scanning at a computer using My Image Garden software and selecting the 1-click feature then 'Save to PC'.

17. Optical resolution is a measure of maximum hardware sampling resolution, based on ISO 14473 standard.

18. Creative Park Premium is a premium content service available exclusively to users only when all of the colors of genuine Canon inks and all of the software that came with the printer are properly installed.

19. Operation can only be guaranteed on a PC with pre-installed Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista or XP.

When it works its great. Runs out of ink quickly and sends an error message stating low on ink even when you just installed a new ink cartridge. Once you figure out all the quirks you will be fine.(3 printers: Nov 2018, Jan 2020 and Sept 2023). Make sure you install ink cartridges BEFORE trying to pair with wifi. Enjoy!

This 3620 replaced my 8 year old 3520 - essentially the same unit. Does a good job and reliable. It was a little difficult to set up the wifi connection and had to finally resort to setting it up wired and then setting up the wifi connection afterwards - glad I still had the cable from my old 3520, as there isn't one included with this 3620 even though the instructions are included for it's use.

I had a lot of problems setting this up! After 3 days of playing with my pc I think I got it. I tried everything FINALY watched a u- tube video. Well I removed it for the 6th time. Reinstalled it. Did 2 test papers IT WORKED YAY. Now says low ink. I bought this one to replace my Cannon that I loved but it broke. Could not be fixed. Does not come with usb cord, wish it did but used my old one. All I needed was a home printer for personal use, its not the fastest but for now it gets the job done! Print quality is good. I say buy it and watch video

I really enjoy this printer. It can be used to print, scan and fax. Purchased because we are home schooling this year and needed it for printing and scanning worksheets and such. The print quality for text is sharp and crisp, I have not used it to print any high quality pictures yet so I can't attest to that but the fact that Pixma is in the name leads me to believe the picture print quality would be good. The pages print quickly and rather quietly, same goes for the scanning function. The wireless connection is incredibly convenient, you can send files from your phone or tablet to the printer and when you scan a document the scan file gets sent to your device to be saved. There is an app in the Google play store that makes using the printer wirelessly a breeze. It also comes with a cd with the necessary drivers to set thr printer up with a computer/laptop. Wired connection is also an option for computers and laptops. Ink refills for this particular printer are decently priced, which was a very important factor in deciding on this purchase. Ink refills come in the sizes regular, XL and XXL. Cartridges are easy to install. Design is compact, sleek and attractive. Overall a great and affordable piece of office equipment. Would definitely recommend.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If your paper gets jammed inside the printer, don't worry. In a few seconds the printer will sense the paper jam and reverse the paper intake, spitting it out.

Unless there is some compelling reason why you can't buy any other printer, don't buy this printer.  If you do, here are a few tips for using it:  1) Purchase a USB cable to go with the printer; the wireless connection can't be established without it and vice versa.  In other words:  You cannot establish a USB connection without a wireless network;  2) Plan to use it only on occasions when you don't actually need to print something, but think you might benefit from fighting with technology WHICH WILL NOT WORK until you are ready to give up and find some other pass-time, and; 3)  Be sure to check the ports periodically, because they are too big and both the USB cable and the power cord fall out on a regular basis.
As for the setup, it's straightforward but doesn't work.  I had intended to just use the printer with a USB cable in order to by-pass the torture of establishing a wireless connection, but found that neither the cable nor the wireless could be used to install the printer.  After alternating between trying first one and then the other, on two different computers, for 1/2 a day, I finally decided to try both at once, and this did the trick.  That is, I plugged in the USB cable while attempting to establish a wireless connection, and was finally successful in installing the printer on my computer.  It wouldn't print, but it was at least acknowledged, and by downloading a scan app, I got the appliance to scan without any problem.  As for printing, it usually just generates random, incorrect error messages, like "Document will not print because the output door is closed."  It isn't closed, of course, but for the most part, no amount of trying and re-trying, turning the unit on and off, cancelling the print job and starting over, etc., will make the error message go away, or get it to print.
By doing these things for periods of 5 hours per session, over 2 days -- with a week in between to recover from rage -- I managed to extract 2 prints of 1 page each.  The documents look fine, and the printer is small enough to hide somewhere when you aren't using it, so you won't be as tempted to throw it out of a window. But for the most part, the printer should be approached only on days when you don't really need to print anything, and it isn't attractive enough to qualify as an object d'art, so unless there is some compelling reason why you can't buy any other printer, buy any other printer.
