TL;DR - Extremely disappointed, descriptions were misleading, will be returning.Opened the box and was basically ready to return the bundle at a glance. The seller doesn’t state that the lenses included in the bundle are aftermarket lenses. Also the items that were suppose to be Canon, like the camera case, wasn’t Canon. Everything, except the camera, were from an aftermarket brand.

After reading many of the reviews with those that were please with this bundle and those that were not happy about the slightest of things, u must say I am quite pleased with our purchase. All pieces that come with the bundle fit nicely in the camera bag. Each piece was individually packed in a box, addition lenses are not Canon Brand, which is not an issue, they are great quality so far, at least from what I have seen and this seems to be the biggest complaint as well as the bag being too small as well. It fit everything, would it be nice to have ra bag slightly bigger, of course but I don't see an issue. Overall I feel as though this bundle deserves 5 stars.

So here is the thing, the camera itself is great and very straightforward but I've had some problems with a few of the items the come on the side.

1) The microsd card reader - the USB part of the usb came off inside the port of my USB hub. Which rendered that port useless unless I buy some additional tools to peel it out, and now the card reader doesn't work.

2) The tripod height adjustment can't hold the weight of the camera... either that or the stopper that you twist doesn't grip the central pole for the tripod properly.

The camera itself is great as I've been spending a little bit of time every day practicing with the settings and such.

I really had high expectations for this bundle but sadly it let me down. The camera stopped functioning properly after a week of daily use. The accessories are neat but not the best quality. It could work for casual use maybe or a practice kit for a newbie but I wouldn't recommend it.

I was looking for a good all around DSLR camera for taking out in the field. Canon is a trusted name in the photography world and has reliable products. I was searching for another Canon as I owned the original digital rebel 6mp years ago and had to sell it. I finally had some money squirreled away and went on an Amazon search for a new Canon. I was happy to come across this package deal and it was a good value for the money as it had lots of stuff. The only part that I was not happy with is the lens that came with it 18-55 EF standard lens. You have to have a real steady hand or use a tripod to get real good shots. I ordered an 18-55 EFS to better suit my needs as I pfrefer to hold the camera at the ready when I take pictures. The camera is a little lighter than I was expecting so I am at bit more careful when using it outdoors. I have had the camera for somewhere around a month and have taken a few hundred pictures trying the different modes and options. The one option I like is to be able to set the camera up to take monochrome(black and white) shots and it makes it much more versitile. Read the instructions to get the full use of all the camera features . If you are looking to have a good starting point this camera is a good choice.
