I bought this light to attach to my camcorder to use in the dark, With MAJOR sadness it doesn’t work and my camcorder doesn’t pick it up at all even though it said it works for camcorder. Will not recommend to anyone.I gave it 2 stars due to light weight and not damaged but camcorder doesn’t pick up the light at all and it stays completely dark still.

This is a rebranded Andoer IR49S so if you are interested in YouTube videos about this, search for that.

One of the most common use of these is for providing IR light in a dark-ish room so that your VR headset can still "see" - The Oculus headsets really don't work well in the dark so they tend to need some light, and an IR light is great for it.

I use it do that it doesn't light up the room when I am watching movies on my Quest 2. If I have the lights on the white light tends to leak in a little around the edges.

This may not be the use it was invented for, but it's the use that a lot of people use it for. And it's good at that!
