Whether you work in the HVAC industry, an electrician, plumber, appliance repair technician or even a mechanic, you're probably always looking for a better lighting solution or at least open to exploring one.
This well-thought-out, well executed kit may actually solve some lighting issues many have but didn't know how to solve them.
As of right now my go-to handheld lighting solutions are from Klein.
Many electricians, techs, plumbers, etc., should be well versed on Klein lighting solutions. But they tend to be expensive.
I initially invested in Klein lights because they had a magnetic base. Well this kit has it too and with the clamp extension and goosenecks I will be using this light kit more now.
First of all, this kit comes in its own plastic hard case, all neatly laid out in separate moulded spots within the case.
Inside is the flashlight, gooseneck micro light extension, gooseneck clamp, thin LED work light attachment, USB-C charging cord, instruction booklet and warranty.
The entire kit is solid aluminum construction. heavy duty gauge, very impressed.
The flashlight body is the main operating core of this kit. Each of the 3 heads can be quickly attached and removed via the flashlights collar quick release chuck on the flashlight body.
This quick release chuck is similar to what you would see on an impact driver as you are inserting and removing drill bits.
The on/off button cycles through 3 different light intensities, a sos signal and a strobe.
The on/off button also serves as a battery power remaining indicator.
Behind the on/off button is a rubber grommet that covers the USB-C charging port.
The bottom of the flashlight also twists off where there is one lithium-ion 2600 mAH 18650 3.7v battery cell.
I can't tell you how happy I am to see this.
Almost all of todays new flashlights with 18650 cells are soldered in and cannot be easily removed.
This changes everything because I have a few 18650's lying around from an old video door bell. I can now swap 18650's in and out when needed without having to be mindful of battery life especially when out camping as there's always limited solutions for charging devices.
The thin LED bar worklight is 10x better, much brighter LEDs, than what I am using right now too. Again, easy snap in and out with an articulating head for tough to get to dark corners.
The gooseneck micro light works similar to the main light head, better for detailed work, more concentrated.
Lastly, the clamp attachment is a godsend. There has been lots of times when there was no metal to attach the magnetic base of my Klein light to. This solves those issues.
Overall this is one great lighting solutions kit. Well worth the investment.
