Laboratory quality: easiy dissolves. Great product for experienced user.

This is an excellent quality gypsum. It is laboratory grade, meaning you don't need to use as much compared to most forms of gypsums found at local lawn and garden stores. It is a fine powder which is easy to measure out and use. Decent quality bag for a fertilizer also.
I have used this succesfully to soak grains for oyster mushroom mycellium innoculation. It takes about 5 gallons of hot water to thoroughly dissolve 2/3 cups of the gypsum powder and some of the powder still falls out when it cools. I am very happy with how this dissolves compared to other products and is a primary reason I continue to use it.
I would recommend this product to anyone who is familiar with their fertilizers enough to mix their own.
I would not recommend it for the basic homeowner wanting to treat a lawn or garden because it lacks other additives used to make it cling to the soil (time-release) and also make it less dusty (user friendly) so it doesn't powder up in your face when you use it. It also doesn't have the sulfur commonly found in gypsum mixtures.
Again, this is a great product, but its for more specialized use in my opinion. Most negative reviews I have read are related to the consumer needing a different product for their specific need.

Got this for some CVG mix... its super fine powder and easy to mix into the sub while dry, or mix with water.
