Our bed is about 34” off the ground and our dog is having issues jumping up now so we opted to get a ramp. We saw some that were foam that were high enough but the cost was $385, so when I saw this one I knew we could make this work and it would be portable for when we go away. We put a memory foam shower mat on top of a heavy oversized bedside table and put the ramp on that next to the bed. It works perfect for our little dog. She is 11 1/2 years old and is a small dog at 3.6 kg.It took many tiny training treats to get her use to going up and down but she learned in a short matter of time (same night we got the ramp). She easily goes up and down now (1 day later) there was a small gap between the mattress and the ramp so we rolled a towel and placed it between.My dog also has troubles seeing in the dark now so I put lights on either side of the ramp.

No complaints about the construction or portability, but two issues.

First, the ramp I received is not the ramp in the photo. That's a reason to return right off the bat.

Second, the fabric on the ramp is essentially frictionless, and my dog (~90lbs large greyhound) literally slides backwards down it. There's nothing for him to dig into. Another reviewer mentioned using towels on the ramp to get more traction, but I don't reward designs with money when they fail at the only thing they're supposed to do. Will be returning.

Good product, but putting it up and taking it down is difficult. It would be better if it just unfolded in one direction. Because the top and bottom sections fold into the middle, then the middle two sections fold together, one person must lay it on the side to open/close while trying to make the dog wait. This scratches the paint off the sides. Very clumsy. However, easy to teach dog to wait and to use the ramp. Much less hip/leg discomfort than climbing steps or jumping in and out of vehicle. Wide and long enough for large dog. Would buy again.

I am a professional dog trainer and run some group hikes with dogs as well. I bought this for use with my new truck since it was too high to use my old ramp on (the incline was too steep). I have been VERY happy with this product. It's not lightweight but that means it is sturdy for the size. The wide ramp makes it easy for the dogs and the material that they have on the ramp is easy for the dogs to grip to even if it's raining. I've been using it for a couple of months now and have had no issues. One thing I think I will improve is adding some sticky rubber to the feet that grip the tailgate, probably will just glue on some old bike inner tube. It will slide a bit if I don't get it perfect.

This car ramp is good at lugging inanimate objects like tire wheels; they roll up smoothly and securely. It also folded quite effortlessly after use. For pets, the carpet is slippery if the angle is steep. It has a loofah texture, but the plastic is similar to a garden hose, having a hydrophobic and shiny coat. It can be rectified by placing two bath towels on it, but having to do so is disappointing because this was its central purpose.
