Works Great! Better value than the one by Sony IMO
This works great and I like the magnet feature, sticks onto the side of my desktop pretty good (see first picture)... and no, the magnet doesn't affect the content on the card (as mentioned by another reviewer, I'm pretty sure the ENGINEERS at ProGrade know what they're doing lol)... However, as mentioned by another reviewer, yes... the card DOES get VERY hot... I basically just try to remember to eject it from the reader as soon as the content is loaded to my computer/Lightroom. Ironically, there's no heat at all when reading an SD card.Just a note, the magnet doesn't stick to my laptop (Surface Book) and they thought ahead of this by including a piece of thin metal with adhesive (see 2nd pic) to stick on your laptop if you want to stick the reader to the laptop with the magnet feature, I would use it but I'm most likely going to upgrade my laptop soon, I'll save it for when the time comes.As for actual testing of the transfer speed, I have no formal testing of this... but it works as is should, which is getting the content to your computer without having to use a cable to your device (camera)
