This is seriously the best diaper rash cream I’ve found on the market. I’ve tried several other brands that are “extra strength” but they did not get rid of my daughter’s rash and redness like Burt’s Bees. This formula is very thick and therefore stays on the skin for longer. I think that helps it work better and faster. My daughter is very prone to diaper rashes and irritation, so I put this on at night before bed and it keeps the rash completely under control!

This cream is SUPER thick, so it's a bit harder to squeeze, but that's a bonus, because you only need a tiny bit, and if it came out faster, it would give you too much, and it would be hard to clean up. I'm sensitive to smells, and this smells great. Kind of like chamomile, and VERY mild. It has many oils in it, so it took me a while to wash my hands with lots of soap and hot water to get it off. Then I discovered that if I wipe my hands with a Kleenex or baby wipe first, THEN wash my hands, it was much easier to get off. It seems to be protecting from wetness and healing the rash quickly, which is what I hoped. I'm using it on an adult with bladder issues. She says it doesn't sting at all, it feel soothing. I haven't noticed any staining on clothes or sheets when it got on them.

This product appears to have a much higher concentration of zinc oxide 40% for Burt’s Bees vs 18% for Penatin cream original. It is very thick because of this and rather difficult to get out of the tube. When the tube is getting empty I cut it in half to get the remainder out.
On the plus side it appears to be very effective so I prefer it to the zinc oxide creams with a lower concentration of zinc.

Je l'utilise par contre uniquementen cas de rougeur ou irritation, sans quoi je met seulement de la poudre d'amidon. My husband and I love Burt’s Bees Baby products! Especially this diaper rash ointment! My 17 month old is battling the stomach bug if you know what I mean and because of constant wet diapers he has a bad diaper rash even though I’m on it! I called his pediatrician and they asked me which diaper rash cream we use. When I mentioned Burt’s Bees, they told me to use triple paste even though the rash wasn’t much of my concern because Burt’s bees takes care of it and with this ointment we had it under control. After using triple paste, I didn’t see the fast results I was getting from my Burt’s bees ointment so I went back to my Burt’s bees! This ointment is FAST ACTING! I mean it brings down the redness tremendously after only 1 application whereas other brands, it does not!
We have used this ointment since my little guy was only a few months old and this NEVER EVER let us down both to treat diaper rash and to prevent!!
