Fun to use, starter tape was sufficient for us.
I had read a few reviews of this product and a few other, similar products on Amazon before pulling the trigger. Was looking for something inexpensive as it wouldn't be something we use daily. We wanted it for a one time labeling of spice jars and then just something handy to have.Not sure why, but I've always wanted a label maker and this is the first one I've ever owned.After reading the reviews I was worried about the amount of starter tape that is supplied with it and bought a spare ribbon. However after using it for what we needed it for (with a few mistake labels we needed to throw out as well) it seems that what they supply as a starter kit is pretty good. The attached image is 30 jars, some with multiple labels on them and as mentioned, a few throw away labels where mistakes were made.It's easy to use but the only thing I haven't been able to find is CAPS LOCK. We've been holding down the shift key for all caps. It works just as easily but isn't as convenient if we could just have a caps lock button. It's possible that it's there, we haven't read the instructions and only looked for it for a few seconds.You should note that this device is battery operated by AA batteries. There is an option to have a plug in adapter, but you will have to purchase that separately.I paid $29 for it and I see it's now listed for $14 so that kind of sucks as I just bought it 10 days ago. For $14 I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.
