I've had it for a few weeks now and I love this scanner. For Windows 10 the software installation was easy and the scanner works very well.

I use it to scan all of my receipts and important documents and 600dpi the digital pdf results are fantastic.

The Windows version of the scanning software is simple and straight forward. It allowed me to specify a network folder on my NAS and it remembers it, so that's great for me. All my scans go straight to my NAS. It will also allow you to preview your scanned results.

Another great thing about he software is, after a document is scanned, it displays a 30 second countdown timer for you to insert the next document. If you insert the next document within the 30 second window it will automatically scan the next document or receipt. I really like this feature, I stack all of my receipts in advance and then I just hit the scan button once and just keep feeding the receipts through.

One thing to note.
The software does not create "multiple page" scanned pdf files. Even if you feed multiple documents through one after the other, it will make a separate pdf file for each scan.

An amazing piece of technology after my 10-year old flatbed. It is quick and quiet, very light, and powered from the same USB cable as carries the scan data.

I've scanned around 500 pages greyscale 300 dpi, with no issues. I tested 600 dpi colour and it looks good.

The only difficulty is getting a perfectly straight scan, you have to feed the page to the rollers very carefully to ensure that. The rollers auto-clamp after a one second delay, which is handy since otherwise the sheet might slide while you click Scan or whatever.

I wish it scanned 8.6" instead of exactly 8.5" as it's tough to get a whole sheet to the edges, which is necessary in my case...

I am using this scanner on a Mac. First of all the connection is easy, plug in the USB cable and download the software and it starts working right away. So far I have seen some major bugs from Brother's software.

- It cannot scan long documents: receipts or special long paper. The scanner's software thinks that the paper is jammed

- It cannot scan slippery thin items: credit cards or card prints. The scanner's conveyor belt does not have enough grip and it slips whenever a credit card is inserted, making skewed scanning.

- The software times out after 30 seconds of inactivity, so you'll have to press scan time and time again, instead of scanning right after the paper is inserted.

- The software crashes after a while of usage, and because the software does not save anything automatically. Quitting the software will erase everything you have just scanned. I have lost a ton of documents to this scanner because of this.

- Do not press "cancel" after you finished scanning. The aforementioned 30-second limit dialog has a cancel button on it. If you think you have finished scanning and pressed the cancel button to stop the scanner, no matter how many pages you have scanned in one row, it will all be removed.

It takes a bit to dial in the settings to get a good image. Had to play with dpi, contrast, on the colour and BW profiles. But after a few test pages everything is scanning nicely. This thing doesn't take up a lot of room and is perfect for scanning in mail or receipts you receive and immediately throw away. Not ideal for large documents (20+). Look elsewhere if you regularly need to scan in large quantities. Doesn't require power brick. Would recommend for anyone looking to clean up a messy paper archive. Very good for the price.

Purchased to be able to scan and save documents to my laptop. Works great for my needs. It was easy to set up and has been easy to scan and save my docs. Scans have come out clear and straight; make sure to adjust the knob for page size to keep your paper straight as it feeds through to keep the image from going crooked. It does only take one paper at a time but you can easily add additional papers to the same scan. Only down side is it doesn't scan two sides at once but that's not a deal breaker. Very happy with my purchase.

Su relación calidad - precio es muy buena. Por lo que se paga no se puede exigir más. Es un buen escaner, lo hace a color y con buena resolución. Es un poco incómodo tener que escanear hoja por hoja y no poder tener un alimentador que permita escanear varias hojas al mismo tiempo, pero al final cumple con su función.

Es muy ligero, no pesa mucho. Muy practico de transportar y muy fácil de usar.

Para trabajos sencillos, muy bueno

This scanner has done a great job at scanning everything I've used it on. I mainly got it to scan my paystubs, which are folded in thirds along perforations and are generally in rather rough shape by the time I get them home. It's done a great job with them, never jamming or failing to scan them properly. To test it out further I've scanned receipts, old ticket stubs, random pieces of paper, and even some old IDs I've got lying around. It's scanned everything perfectly. No problems feeding or scanning anything and no jams. I've put the crappiest pieces of paper I've got through it with no issues. The only problem at all is the document will come out slightly askew if you don't hold it straight when you feed it in, but this can be remedied either by being careful or just rotating the image afterwards. In any case I've never used a scanner with an autofeeder that didn't have that problem.

The only thing I can't comment on is the software they offer, as I haven't tried it. I don't see any reason to do so either, NAPS2 is open source and free, and it works perfectly with this scanner. You set up your profile with the settings you want, insert your document in the scanner, and click on the scan icon. It even waits to see if you have another document so you can keep feeding without going back to the computer. After scanning it handles OCR if you want and can make PDFs in addition to normal images. In fact one of the things I really liked about this scanner is that you can install the drivers for the scanner without any obnoxious software suites or irritating bloatware that runs in the background being necessary as I've found with other printers and scanners I've used. The only thing you have to install to get it to work is the driver and their small DSMobile capture utility, which can be used to scan and also handles calibrating the scanner if necessary.

This scanner has exceeded all my expectations, and I'm very pleased with my purchase.
