Branston pickles are English pickles. They have turnip which is not usual in North America. They also have a unique flavour that goes extremely well with cheese and cold meat. They should be eaten on the side and not put in a sandwich.

I saw an Italian Chef on the food Network say his favourite sandwich was cheese and pickle from the UK. I looked it up and saw it was made with this as the pickle. I love this toasted, not toasted, on whole wheat bread and even boring white bread made me so very happy, will be buying again. Also have to say how quickly I got this from the UK (before the covid lockdowns) made me very happy too.
