Instructions:

  • Heat a pan of water to 80-90C (not boiling, this will melt the trays!)
  • Holding the handle, dip the mouth tray in the water for approximately 5-10 seconds. Be careful, as over-exposure will melt/shrink the tray, but under-exposure will make formation difficult.
  • Remove the tray from the water and hold it to drain the excess water for a second.

  • Place the tray in your mouth while it is soft and mold around your teeth, by pressing firmly on the inside and outside of your teeth with your fingers. Allow the tray to set firm while still inside your mouth.
  • Remove the tray. Repeat this process for the lower tray. Cut the handles off and trim the formed trays, cutting at the gum line. This will allow you to clean any gel that may be leaking over the gums.
  • Simply apply a teeth whitening or remineralizing gel and wear the trays

The photo I posted is a before & after. I boiled water in the kettle then dipped the mouth guard into a tea cup of the boiling water for 20 seconds. It started to look melty so then I put it in my mouth and bit down hard then I pressed the front part against my teeth to get a full mold. (It keeps its shape but you can make it softer again if you put it back into boiling water) It’s a THICK material so the photo in the advertisement is deceiving. It’s not perfect like what you’d get at the dentist for a whitening tray , but for $9 this is worth it and gets the job done well enough. I also purchased zoom whitening kit because I’ve used it in the past and I’ve never met someone who didn’t ask me what whitening product I use lol all in all I recommend if you are doing home whitening and don’t want to spend and extra $100 getting a mold made.

I was dissappointed at the material. They didn't melt very well in boiling water as others mentioned so it was almost impossible to put them in your mouth to mold them before they cooled down. And since they weren't able to have a proper mold to your teeth, they felt uncomfortable and tasted rather strange.
It's cheap, but I rather pay more and find proper ones that melt better and therefore mold to your teeth to do what it was intended for.

These trays arrived in a plain plastic bag with no instructions. They are much thicker than I expected. Online instructions said to soften the tray in 80-90°C water for about 10 seconds, but it remained hard even after 30 seconds at 85°C. I then gave it 30 seconds in boiling water; it shrank but still did not soften enough to be shaped. I'm going to try a different brand, and read the reviews more carefully.

I am so glad I saved myself $150 by not going to the dentist to have trays made! I have read some of the negative reviews and suggest using a thermometer to take the temperature of the water bath before dipping the product before moulding. The directions included for the product were perfectly accurate and precise. The instructions are not included with the product but must be followed from the product page on the Amazon Order Review. The trays were comfortable and tight-fitting against my teeth. This product would also be helpful with Brexism and the prevention of teeth grinding during sleep—just a fantastic product. Do I ever love Amazon.

I only needed these to hold a gel on my teeth for whitening to protect my lips from smearing it. so I didn't require them to soften and mould to my teeth shape, however I tried to warm them in boiled water in a mug and they didn't take form to my teeth whatsoever but still did what I needed !

the 5-10 seconds in 80-90C water does nothing to the material. it won't get flexible or malleable to adapt to the denture shape. useless. I keep heating the water and also submerging for longer period of time and this material never gets malleable. deceiving description.

I used a thermometer to make sure the water was at 90 degrees. I left it in the water for 10 secs and the plastic was still hard, I then tried 20 secs and still it didn't soften.

I then used my hot air gun and set it to 100c, then 120c, then 140c, then 170c and it only got hot, didn't soften OR shrink.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT if you want the trays to look like the advertisment. Returning the items.
