About this item

  • ♥♥Cooling Comfort♥♥- Bonaweite dog cooling Vest comes with sandwich mesh fabric and nylon spandex cloth, which will keep your dog cool and comfortable in warm weather. The cationic fabric on the back offers physical sun protection against harmful UV rays.
  • ♥♥Why Wear Cooling Vest♥♥- Unlike humans, dogs are unable to cool themselves down as effectively because they primarily rely on panting to release heat. This makes them more susceptible to overheating, especially in hot weather or during strenuous physical activities. Cooling jacket for dogs are designed to provide relief by efficiently cooling down a dog’s body, preventing heat exhaustion or heat stroke.
  • ♥♥How to Use♥♥-Immerse cooling vest in cold water for a few minutes and then squeeze it dry. When the vest is soaked in water and placed on the dog, the water evaporates slowly, creating a cooling effect. This helps to lower the dog’s body temperature and keep them comfortable even in hot environments. When the cooling vest will become dry, as long as it is repeatedly put in water, soaked in water, wringed dry, and reused, the cool feeling can be restored.
  • ♥♥Versatile & Practiacl♥♥- Our cooling dog jacket is lightweight, which doesn't put much pressure on your dog. Perfect for hot summer activities like hiking, walking, and camping. Machine washable and reusable, offers cool wearing experience for your pet. When the weather isn't hot, it's just a simple dog vest, and the reflective strip design also makes walking at night safer.
  • ♥♥Tips for Properly Fitting a Cooling Vest on Your Dog♥♥- Fitting a cooling vest properly on your dog is crucial for its comfort and effectiveness. Four sizes s-xl, choose from the size chart and adjust the straps to achieve a snug yet comfortable fit, ensuring that the vest covers the chest, belly, and back adequately. Avoid any overly tight or loose straps, as they may cause discomfort or hinder cooling capabilities.

This fits my dog perfectly - the cooling effect is real
I like that the vest has a hook on the back for walking the dog while wearing the vest. The vest fits securely on my dog so I'm not concerned that he's going to slip out of it. My only concern is that wearing the vest itself has a warming effect after the water has evaporated from it. Watch your dog for excessive panting in case the cooling effect is no longer working - have some water on hand to re-cool it if needed.

I have used this cooling vest many times already. It has kept my dog cool and comfortable in very hot and humid weather. It is very easy to adjust and prepare before the walk. Now that he is cool and comfortable we can go for longer walks (45 to 60 minutes) before we could only go for very short walks (20 to 30 minutes). A must for any dog.

I ordered this Bonaweite Dog Cooling Vest at the recommendation of our vet. We have a 10 month old, 28lb black-tri mini Aussie. He has a lot of long dense fur. (He's so floofy, he's often mistaken for a Burnese Mountain Dog pup.) All of that to say...he overheats so so easily. This cooling vest offers us an alternative to shaving him for the summer (generally not recommended for double coat breeds).

This cooling vest is easy enough to use. It has mesh panels that almost feel spongey. Simply soak the vest and wring it out just enough so it's not dripping. As the water evaporates, it is supposed to cool the dog. I was glad to see my pup's fur was only damp when we removed the vest. We are able to complete our hour long walks, at about 16C outside, and the vest was still damp when we finished. Our pup was able to tolerate the temperature much better than without the vest. I'm not sure how quickly it will dry when we get the temperatures are double what they are now, but it would be easy enough to re-wet.

Overall, I'm feeling optimistic about this cooling vest being the solution to our pup's comfort in the warm months. I'm very happy with it so far.

Bonaweiite Dog Cooling Vest: Size MEDIUM
(Breed: Pug, fully grown, 23.5 pounds, Brachycephalic, and Prone to overheating)

This Bonaweite Dog Cooling Vest appears to be well made, with no issues with the materials or stitching.
I'm glad that I opted for the Medium size for our pug. This was a good size and fit her well. The chest area where it matters fits nicely and can be cinched a bit for a snug fit. The neck opening is perfect, no adjustments were needed.

Two quick-release buckle clips are used to fasten the vest into place. They are adjustable to allow a bit of wiggle room for a better fit. At the back of the neck, there is an adjustable string that may keep your dog from wiggling out or cinching it for a closer fit. Just below that is a plastic D-Ring to attach your leash to.
The bottom portion on the back has a reflective wide strip to help with visibility for those early-morning or late-evening strolls.

This Cooling Vest is a great alternative to keeping your dog cool.
Soak it, Ring it out, Put it on, and Monitor to avoid over cooling/hypothermia.

We grabbed this in time for summer months. Usually, we skip a few days of walks because of the heat and our dog seems to be struggling.

This vest is quite simple. Basically it is made of a special dri-fit typenof fabric. You soak the vest into cold water for a few minutes and wring the excess water.

After, you simply put the vest on your dog. It is adjustable with 2 small clips on the sides for a snug fit.

It effectively cools for a few hours and does a great job. We tried it today and it was only 20 degrees.

Bonus points, there are some reflective stripes on it and a hookup for the leash on the back.

Great item for sure. As a reference, our dog is about 25 pounds, small but stocky bulldog. Size medium fits perfectly

I ordered the XS but the chest circumference is too big for my little guy and the length too short. It seems better suited to stockier chesty dogs. It's relatively thick and bulky, and the idea is to submerge it in water so that your pooch has the cooling effect of a wet t-shirt. There's two layers of mesh with a piece of foam in between soak up the water. The tightening buckles are a nice size but the straps are a lower quality. The fabric around the neck is nice and soft and I like that it cinches, however the elastic used is too thin so a bit of a hard ridge. The same idea with a thicker (4x as thick) more comfortable elastic would be a welcomed change. The leash hook is a nice touch. If you have a short stocky pet who doesn't mind being damp this would be a nice vest. On a hot day you'd need to resubmerge or pour more water onto it fairly frequently because if it dries out it will feel more like a coat than a cooling vest.

This vest is exceptionally well-made, adjustable at multiple levels (clip straps on each side and adjustable elastic at the neck). My dog loves it and seems very comfortable in it. The fabric is soft and cool, with reflective strips for visibility at night. When the dog goes into the water, the vest retains a small amount of water to keep them cool on hot days, also serving as sun protection. We've fully embraced it; it's a fantastic product.

I ordered this cooling shirt for a chihuahua in xs size. The shirt is adjustable with straps on the side and has a neck opening that tightens up. The material stays damp for long periods and has a decent cooling effect for your dog. As far as sizing, xs was slightly big on a 6 lb chihuahua but with a shirt underneath it fit good. We get hot desert summers so I think he'll appreciate staying cooler when venturing outside.

We took my pup on a walk on a rather warm day. She does not fancy the heat, but I remembered it was the perfect way to try out the cooling capability. I put the vest on, sprayed it with water and she cooled down instantly. The vest will dry out, so keeping a spray bottle may be helpful.

I thought this looked like an interesting way to keep my small poodle cool when she's out in the sun. This cooling vest does works by cooling your dog off with water that you soak the vest with. While the vest is wet it does keep my dog cooler, but it also keeps her pretty wet which brings its own mess. This vest also doesn't fit her that well so she's constantly pulling out of it. Admittedly she is a very petite Toy Poodle so most vest/harnesses are too small for her, so I'm not very surprised it doesn't fit her as well as I'd hoped. If you have a fur baby that has dark fur and gets pretty hot in the sun this is worth a try. Just be prepared for all of the effect of wet dog to come along with this.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too long in the belly

It was too long in the belly so my boy would have peed on it if we kept it. It was also too wide but I was able to tightened it with the straps. It's a little thick for my taste but maybe that keeps the cool in better, I don't know. I like that it had a hook for the leash but overall, it did not work for my pug. I returned it. He also didn't seem to like it. I was given a thinner cooling vest that seems to be better for him and he tolerates it more. I think lighter is better for summer.
