We recently inherited an older car with no Bluetooth. I ordered this so I could listen to streaming radio or answer my phone hands free while driving. It works great! Easy to use, connected no problem, works perfectly with my iPhone 13. The only thing I'm not so crazy about is that the radio or voice directions from the phone's maps is nice and loud, but when I answer a phone call, I need to turn up the car's stereo volume to the max in order to hear the person calling me. While that isn't that big a deal, you have to remember to immediately turn down the volume again on your car's stereo, or the music will blast super loud.

This may take a while, but hear me out.

I have completed some mathematical calculations regarding car ownership. It is MUCH cheaper to purchase a used vehicle and perform periodic repairs than it is to purchase a new vehicle. Leasing is the dumbest thing you can do. You perpetually pay to drive a car. Don;t be offended, just do your research!

I purchased a new 2006 VW Jetta TDI. WORST decision ever. It turned into a money pit because it was the first complete chassis overhaul for a while and purchasing a production year vehicle designed from the ground up means I was the guinea pig. VW's attempt to modernize their "people's car" was a disaster, from the drive train to the body metal and beyond.

It did, however, come with some perks, such as a CD player capable of playing mp3 media......... Yeah!.........This allowed me to avoid what radio has become. An attempt to follow the trend in modernized music. Much like VW's Jetta overhaul, the music industry is a disaster. 10 years later...Yes, 10 years, the Jetta's planned obsolescence convinced me of the cars end of life. And I lost my precious mp3 luxury.

I purchased a 2003 Volvo S80 and inherited my mother's 2003 VW Jetta (Bora) when VW made GOOD CARS!!! This allows me to alternate vehicles and prolong their employ. BUT......... Neither of these has CD players capable of mp3 playback (unlike the 2011 Toyota Venza we purchased for my mother). No auxilliary cord connection, either. Bluetooth??? Hahaha...HHHHHHAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAHA...... 2003, people!!!

So, what am I to do but listen to the repetitive ramblings of over-hyped "artists" on conformist radio stations? Well, let me TELL you. Some years later I was advised by a colleague that FM transmitters exist, and he gave me one of his. Unfortunately, the one I was given was designed by the same team that gave the world the 2006 Jetta, apparently, and it too died shortly thereafter. So, I began my search for its replacement.

Amazon does NOT make choices easy. The ocean of specific products you search for is vast. I noticed the Nulaxy Bluetooth FM transmitter which showcased it's presence with vibrant colours and minimalist design. In January 2021 I decided to take a risk and was not disappointed. My LG G6, an LG Velvet and Samsung A50 belonging to other family members had no issue connecting to this device.

I promptly saturated my phone with GOOD music created by ARTISTS.........and turned my Flinstone's mobiles into modern era technological marvels. My family and I can now enjoy the exceptional safety of the Volvo S80 whilst keeping sane by avoiding the degeneracy of human ingenuity so well showcased by digital mainstream catalogues. Never again will I hear Coldplay or Miley Cyrus or Taylor Swift and the like without my consent!!!

But wait, there's more. If you choose to refrain from using your phone as a media playback device in order to prolong the life of the battery which gives it life you can always purchase an inexpensive flash drive or SD card and put your media content on those, and simply insert them inside the correlating orifice (easy) as an alternate method to feature your preferred compositions. AND...you can also use the USB 3.0 connection to charge your phone.

Couldn't be happier with a product that works so easily, so well and looks great. You can switch light colour or turn it off if you're not into the RGB vibe which has come to dominate the tech world.

So what, you may ask? This allowed me to solve the art quality dilemma at minimal cost. I didn't need to rush out to the nearest car dealership and purchase a vehicle capable of diverse technological connectivity and capability. Between planned obsolescence and aesthetic vehicle design mimicking mainstream artist incompetence, this hardly seems worthwhile.

I highly recommend this product.... Unlike marriage......... Love you, baby! :)

My old bluetooth adapter finally conked out on me, so I had to replace it quickly. This one works well and is easy to use. I appreciate the button to control the colour of the led light around the edge... kinda fun! My only complaint is that sometimes there is a ringing in the background. It's usually not noticeable when my phone volume is all the way up and the car system is lowered while I'm listening to music. If I try to listen to a book or podcast it is a little more problematic at times, but nothing too crazy.

Overall good for the price! Would recommend!

So after my middling 3star review, See Below the *** line, Nulaxy contacted me and made every effort to see that I was satisfied. I stick by my original review (below) as I believe there are inherent sound quality limitations with the FM function NX10, HOWEVER, the company after offering me a new one, ended up sending me an upgraded model that had the option of AUX output at my request, and at no extra cost.

The NX28 they sent me is a very nice product that works great, looks great and most importantly SOUNDS great! It has cool little extra features including: an ON/OFF switch so you don't have to worry about killing your car battery, Bass and Treble adjustments, and a much easier to read display/buttons. I would highly recommend the NX28 it and the company for being a pleasure to deal with. 5 stars!!

Its like, just ok. FM is always going to have some interference and if music and your stereo is important to you I wouldn’t buy this. Mostly I listen to audiobooks and for that its fine.

So I've used this thing for a few weeks. It solves the problem in a pinch, but you can't use it as a permanent solution.

First of all, I get interference eventually on any frequency I try. If the weather is different, I get some static. If I drive for 50km, I get some static. This issue is made worse by a dumb design choice: there's one knob that controls both the volume and the frequency.

I NEVER need to use the volume—I can adjust it on my phone or my car—yet, volume is the primary function of the knob. To change the frequency—which I need to do frequently—I have to press down on the knob for a few seconds, then turn it, then adjust my radio, and then press down on the knob again because the knob mode turns back to volume nearly right away.

To compound the issue, both my car radio and this device seem to occasional start to skip one notch in the frequencies, so I get the device rolling on even frequencies and the car rolling on odd ones.

So imagine doing all of this twiddling while speeding down the highway, to get rid of static. It's a nightmare.

To add insult to injury, the device doesn't fit as is into neither of the two cigarette holes I have. The wide top of the device gets in the way. I had to get an extension thing.

For the price, I still feel I got good value, but I dislike using this device.

This is the first one that I bought, right now, because my last car was totaled, somebody hit me, I am driving a 2004 Cadillac cts. High mileage, and all that, but and it's an older car, so I needed something to turn my sound system, into a Bluetooth sound system, this device, was made by jesus. LOL literally, I also got a couple of different things, because they had the power off switch and some other things, but I'll tell you what, not very much, there wasn't much more than than this one does. This one is very easy to program, to any frequency that you need to along with your radio station, it's very easy to stay connected to your phone, so when you get back in your car, and you plug it back in, it immediately connects with your phone, every time. It has forward and back buttons, so if you're have your phone sitting somewhere, and you want to hear a song again or a few back, just hit the back button on the transmitter, and it'll take you back even on YouTube on your phone. It's very simple to change the colors, it's just a button on top. The sound, is amazing. I looked into a lot of different nuloxy products. Other ones that are supposed to have more bass, etc. Mind you, like I said I am driving a cadillac, even though it's 2004, it has quite a stereo on it, however, one of the speakers, my driver's side, has some issues. But the volume level that you can get up to and the sound output that this thing gives you, it does everything that all of the other transmitters with the on-off switch, are saying that they do, mine is Maybe I don't know, finding a frequency on its own? I know some of them claim that they do that, I don't know. But other than that, you have a 3.0 charger, or you can plug in your mp3 usbs, listen to your music that way, and I believe you can do a couple of other things too I'm not exactly sure what else you can plug in you'd have to look at the product description. But, you cannot beat this, and honestly and I researched things quite a bit, and even the next version I believe it's the nx14? Or the NX I'm sorry the NX 12 does not have the reviews that this has. Because I have this car, if I were to leave it plugged in, I have read, that you will come out in your battery will be dead in the morning. Not all cars continue to charge once you turn them off, but this one does. So, I had gotten a different transmitter I was going to keep both of them, this one and the other one, because it had the on-off switch. And then I read, that it still draws power, just like if you had your computer plugged in, and you left it plugged in, it's still drawing power, so on off does me no good with my car that continually power, even from a product that's off. And the other product, actually, I thought it was really good, it for a couple of days, no, the static, I can't take it. Much more staticy than this, occasionally you'll get some static with this but to be honest with you, this your phone and your volume level in your car, will override most static that you'll find, I live in Orlando florida, there are literally no open stations, everything says poor, I can still hook it up to anything with any frequency that says poor, and I barely had any static at all, and if you turn the volume up a little bit you can't hear anything wrong, but you can hear your music played, really well, on a great sound system but it's also the transmitter, that is putting out the sound, it has a great amount of days, trouble, and then mid-range, this thing is just magical to be honest with you. The light is on, so honestly, it's difficult to forget to unplug it. I have not forgotten to unplug it at all, I doubt I will. It tells you what the charge of your battery in your car is when you turn the car on and you plug it in that's awesome, a lot of them do that, but it's still it's awesome, I literally cannot think of one thing that the others do, except for maybe find a frequency by themselves, or so I've read all you have to do with this one, is press the middle button and hold it down for a few seconds, and then manually find the station that you are pairing together with your radio station. It's not that much work, let's all get a grip please all you have to do is press the button a few times, I listen to it all the way from Orlando Florida to Daytona Beach florida, had no problems whatsoever, I think I had to change the station once?, I don't know, but again, everything says poor if you were to look into the stations that are open for FM transmitters here. Every single thing says poor, there are no good blank radio stations. But this one overrides even the bad ones. I have read many reviews, and they all say best bang for your buck, I would say best bang for anything. And as far as talking through it, as a Bluetooth device, that you can communicate with people while you're driving, everybody can hear me crystal clear and I can hear them it is literally like I have a Bluetooth sound system in my car. I am not embellishing 1%. There is occasional static, and that does happen, and it's going to happen. However, I wouldn't stray too far from this brand, ever. There are other things that are said to be better, or that people may like better with bigger displays and everything else but you don't need bigger displays. There are a few buttons, and once you know what they do, it's very simple. Very effective, I don't need to see a big huge display, and it takes up a very little room. I got a different cord for my GPS that I normally use on my window, I also use my phone I have to, but the one on my window, is older, and it tells me the speed I'm going and the speed I should be going, with my lead foot.. lol.. so I like to keep my GPS up on my window, so that I can see what speed I'm going, and what speed I'm supposed to be going, but I use my phone as my primary GPS and I use the other one as a backup it's still is good it's just not updated. And all I needed to find for that was a different cord one that did not plug into the cigarette lighter, as the FM transmitter is in the cigarette later, and you can't use a dual Port thing, but, I easily found a cord for my gps, that has a USB ending, that I can plug right into this. It has extremely rapid charging, and honestly, like I said Jesus did a great job making this. I wish I was embellishing, I'm so very much not. I'm glad that I tried the other few, because even the one that was good, turned out not to be good, and within a day or two, I was getting a ton of static, the first day it was great and I thought it was a great product too and then all of a sudden, no matter what I did I had static. This does not do that, honestly I could not say anything more about this product, and I don't know what the other products made by this company do, they could possibly be any better than this, but also, everything is on the face of this, except for the button to change the light, and that's on the top of it, every other round transmitter for instance, the buttons are all underneath usually, which is really brilliant, and by brilliant I mean not bringing it at all, it's dumbest thing I've ever experienced in my life. I'm sure that once you learn the buttons, it's easy, but this you can actually see what you're doing, which is also really nice, it doesn't take up a lot of space, it's a fantastic product, especially for its price, if the other products made by this company are better than this, I would really be surprised. !

This is the first one that I bought, right now, because my last car was totaled, somebody hit me, I am driving a 2004 Cadillac cts. High mileage, and all that, but and it's an older car, so I needed something to turn my sound system, into a Bluetooth sound system, this device, was made by jesus. LOL literally, I also got a couple of different things, because they had the power off switch and some other things, but I'll tell you what, not very much, there wasn't much more than than this one does. This one is very easy to program, to any frequency that you need to along with your radio station, it's very easy to stay connected to your phone, so when you get back in your car, and you plug it back in, it immediately connects with your phone, every time. It has forward and back buttons, so if you're have your phone sitting somewhere, and you want to hear a song again or a few back, just hit the back button on the transmitter, and it'll take you back even on YouTube on your phone. It's very simple to change the colors, it's just a button on top. The sound, is amazing. I looked into a lot of different nuloxy products. Other ones that are supposed to have more bass, etc. Mind you, like I said I am driving a cadillac, even though it's 2004, it has quite a stereo on it, however, one of the speakers, my driver's side, has some issues. But the volume level that you can get up to and the sound output that this thing gives you, it does everything that all of the other transmitters with the on-off switch, are saying that they do, mine is Maybe I don't know, finding a frequency on its own? I know some of them claim that they do that, I don't know. But other than that, you have a 3.0 charger, or you can plug in your mp3 usbs, listen to your music that way, and I believe you can do a couple of other things too I'm not exactly sure what else you can plug in you'd have to look at the product description. But, you cannot beat this, and honestly and I researched things quite a bit, and even the next version I believe it's the nx14? Or the NX I'm sorry the NX 12 does not have the reviews that this has. Because I have this car, if I were to leave it plugged in, I have read, that you will come out in your battery will be dead in the morning. Not all cars continue to charge once you turn them off, but this one does. So, I had gotten a different transmitter I was going to keep both of them, this one and the other one, because it had the on-off switch. And then I read, that it still draws power, just like if you had your computer plugged in, and you left it plugged in, it's still drawing power, so on off does me no good with my car that continually power, even from a product that's off. And the other product, actually, I thought it was really good, it for a couple of days, no, the static, I can't take it. So I have a 2011 Honda. It has a navigational system and Bluetooth hands free but it sucks! You can’t talk on the phone and to play music from my iPhone I have to use a aux cable that connects in the armrest. It irritating! So I ordered one of these. It works great! You just set it to a station that is static and connect to your phones Bluetooth. It automatically connects when I get into my car. I can have phone conversations through my radio just as the newer cars now and it also doubles as a fast charger! You can change the light color to whichever you like. I have had several other versions in the past that didn’t work like this one. It would be static and not play music well and just sucked! But this one is the best one I have found! Clear connection, easy to use, and convenient! 10 out of 10 recommend!

I recently purchased this Bluetooth transmitter since my work vehicle doesn’t have a newer radio. It was super easy to just plug in my cigarette lighter and go. Made first time set up a breeze, I’ve tried many of these previously & this one is hassle free. I can’t really use the USB charger port it has since my iPhone uses C type but that’s ok. I have another charger for that. I just wanted to mention it in case someone was wondering. It’s not the loudest but that’s probably due to my speakers or I may need to mess around with the EQ in the car. No big deal. I recommend this especially for the price I paid, making it a really nice deal. It arrived quickly too.
