I got the microphone after a friend started using it. I love it. I have a young sounding voice and I am far from young but this mic cleans up my squeaky tones. It tones down those high notes for me. I work like so many other from home and via calls and video all day and a average of 7 hours a day. Others have not asked me... What? So much so they are understanding me more clearly which is a double win. I hope they make more affordable mics and tech for us wfh people

I waited about 18 months before writing a review because I could not evaluate the quality of this item myself. I relied on those with whom I had online meetings and asked them often about my sound quality.

The verdict is that this microphone provides perfect sound to those with whom I communicate, and my microphone is on a boom that sits (out of sight from my camera) 24" inches away from my mouth. I also found it very simple to install and connect (it took me less than 2 minutes to get it working). I like the fact that I do not need to wear headphones to talk anymore...it's much more comfortable. Of course, for those in a shared office environment then privacy and the ability to communicate without bothering others in your vicinity will still require headphones.

I highly recommend this microphone, especially for those who participate often in Zoom and TEAMS meetings (i.e., it's very well suited for this type of use).

I've owned the Logitech G633 and the microphone on that needs to be "warmed up" and produces questionable quality at best. I've owned the Blue Snowball as well, which produces decent sound quality, but sometimes randomly require to be closer to user for said sound quality. Not sure why. I gotta say though, these amazing Blue Yeti microphones will blow you away. The fact that I got these for $99 on black friday makes it even more amazing!

Pros:
#Plug and Play
#Crystal clear sound quality, even from 2m away. Can clearly hear yourself annunciate even at a distance
#This is more of a "duh" but being able to detach from wires and use my sound system for sound output is an amazing experience
**Has its own gain volume!! I cannot exaggerate how great this feature alone is! I'm a computer technician on the side and fiddling around trying to get a microphone to produce adequate sound quality that is about an inch away from my mouth AND failing at it is completely ridiculous!
**Has a 3.5mm jack for you to hear yourself along with other sound your PC produces in real time. Using the Windows function for this produces a half a second lag which kind of throws you off if you're recording material.
#Seems to have some kind of noise cancelling. My PC fans are loud as hell when under load, I have a window fan on 24/7 and both of these are within 1m of the microphone. I also have an annoying train that's close enough to rock my monitors and none of these seem to detract what I'm saying to my listeners. They don't notice the difference when I turn off the window fan and lowered my fan rotation to barely audible. Remember, you can plug in your headphones to listen to yourself too - I was not able to differentiate my noise sources being on/off when I tried myself.

#Pretty much is a set up and forget about it mic.

Cons:
#It's a little big, I've even put it upside down (mic facing bottom) and tucked it behind my monitors because I don't have desktop real estate and it has worked great.
#Ran into an issue where it wasn't producing quality volume and replugging the unit just did not work. Restarting my PC did. Not sure what caused this yet. Hopefully is not going to be a recurring issue.

Overall, excellent microphone. Could not ask for better!
Bottom line: don't bother with headphone microphones. Wait for this to go on sale if you cannot justify the price tag. It's totally worthwhile. I regret not putting the money towards a better headphones instead of a headset with a crappy at best microphone.

I bought this on Black Friday 2016. I have one at home and wanted a second one for work. Great microphone. I use it primarily for speech recognition on my Mac workstation. It works much better than other desktop microphones (and very reasonably priced for the exceptional quality). It is study and elegant (my patients regularly comment how awesome it looks sitting on my desk). Only complaint is that the mute button on the microphone is a fickle on this one (not so on my other Yeti which I bought prior to this one)

Plug and play, rien à installer sur le pc, on branche et ça marche.
