The cameras work fine, you have to play with the sensitivity a lot to find the right setup. As it might drive you crazy with tons of notifications, also if you open the motion notification on your phone it would not record and the loading takes a while so you might not see what was it about.

These camera are great when they work. However more often then not, they will not record or stream. I have 2 outdoor cameras one indoor mini and a doorbell cam. They all show connected to wifi and sync. Full battery, but for some reason the only operate intermittently. Reboot repeatedly, no difference. Save your money and buy something else that actually works.

Update: after talking to customer support, I was sent 2 new cameras. They both seem to be working well now. Time will tell, but customer service was excellent.

I liked the product and it works well. Assembly instructions should be included such as scanning code in the battery compartments prior to putting in the battery and screwing in the back again . Also the attachments are snap in and need a little force. Also take the units around your yard and view a few places that capture what you want prior to anchoring them in.
I think the picture is very clear and once I figured out the motion settings and volume it worked great. Also think the price was good for 3 units.

We have had the Blink 3 cameras for a couple of years and very much like them. We decided that as we had such good luck with the Gen 3 that we would upgrade to the Gen 4. Not a good idea, actually a bad idea.

Got 5 of the Gen 4 cameras almost overnight. Installed them within an hour and they all hooked up easily and that is when it started to not go as well.

The image quality on all of the cameras, except the one Gen 3 that we kept, were all dark. Where there was bright sunlight it was terrific but if there was even the slightest shadow you could not see a person standing there. The additional wide angle (143º) was great compared to the 110º from the Gen 3 but even with the sensitivity set to its highest the camera would only detect movement sometimes. The volume on the Gen 4 cameras was so low you could hardly hear any noise. One last thing I could not get ALEXA to disarm the cameras as it would not allow me to add a voice code to do that.

Took all the Gen 4 cameras down, reinstalled all the Gen 3 cameras. Deleted the Gen 4 cameras and sync, and re setup the old Gen 3 cameras and all is well. Nice bright images, cameras are triggered by movement, the volume is loud once again and absolutely no problem getting ALEXA to arm and disarm all the cameras with the same code that I was trying to use with the Gen 4.

I hope that Amazon gets this fixed or continues to sell the Gen 3 cameras or they are going to have a lot of unhappy customers.

Returned the same day as the installation.

Follow-up to previous review. We have been working with Blink Support and they determined there was a defect in the camera that affected the battery life. As a result, they sent us a new camera and all seems to be working well. Great support working through the issue. All other cameras we purchased are working well.

First I will say, we love our blink outdoor cameras and bought our first set in October. We liked them so much, we bought a second set at the end of November for further out in our yard so we had complete coverage of our property. However, the one camera had a battery life of approximately 3 weeks. We hardly received any motion detection due to the placement and time of year, since it's winter and not a lot of activity is expected in the area. So it wasn't that the camera was constantly on. We had a cold spell recently and suddenly received a notification that the battery was low. Two days later it was dead. Although we love the cameras, and have had no other issues, the battery life in this set is disappointing.

Bought these cameras to use as a whole home security system, combined with a previous generation with no issue. Overall they get the job done but there are certainly some downsides, the microphone picks up a lot of background noise which makes audio a bit tough, range isn't always the greatest and they tend to pick up false positives pretty frequently. Generally though they work for what we need for security footage from around the house

The part that leaves the most to be desired is the app. You will absolutely want to pay for the additional subscription service, otherwise you'll only be able to access footage from home and can only delete files one by one. Even with the subscription service the cloud storage is often super slow to load and play clips as well as often not updating as clips are saved quickly or even for a little while.

Overall if you need a basic security system and find it on sale it can definitely be worth it, just be prepared to pay for the additional monthly subscription.

These are such great cameras. We live on a farm and have these set up around all the buildings. We haven't had any issues with the cameras outside and it can get to as low as -45 celsius here and as high as +35 celsius here.
They are super easy to set up, no wires, you just need wifi. Very clear picture, great night vision, and excellent motion detection. You just download the app on your phone and it notifies you right away anytime there's motion in your yard. It is very easy to record, save and share the videos to your phone or USB drive. They also have two way audio which is pretty neat and it also works with Alexa.
You can customize areas on the camera if you don't want that certain area to detect motion (example: we have a highway view from one of the buildings-so the camera would go off all the time as its a busy road, so we customized it, so it will only detect the motion if anyone turns in off that road into our yard)
