Terrible Quality
The arms got misaligned (circled in red in the first image) after about 3 uses and almost chewed up my tape, I managed to get it out without ruining too much but whatever was recorded onto that portion of the tape is completely destroyed now. In the first image you can see how the arm at the top is in the loaded position and the one at the bottom is in the unloaded position. I can no longer turn on the device as it's locked up so now I'll need to open it up and manually adjust it myself. This is why you buy the legitimate products and not the cheap rip offs, my friends, today I have found that out the hard way.

There was a screw rattling around inside the unit when I opened it. Put a battery in, like it said, tried to open it and it would not open at all. The mechanism inside moved but the unit did not open to put the tape in.

Tengo las típicas cintas de la cámara de video que ya no sabía ni cómo verlas, tenía que armar un montón con cables para poder disfrutar de los vídeos, me habló un amigo que había convertidores y me puse a buscar, es muy sencillo, metes la cinta de la cámara en este adaptador y directamente lo metes en el vídeo, tengo que decir que rescate el vídeo que teníamos en el trastero, hace mucho que lo quisimos tirar pero no se porque lo dejamos, ahora me alegro!!! I was so happy to discover a long-lost, one of a kind, VHS-C videotape of my daughters when they were little. I have a VCR but couldn't play the tape with a converter. So I went online and ordered one from Amazon. I installed a battery as instructed and inserted the tape. I then loaded it into the VCR. It would not play in the VCR, and when I removed it from the deck, it would not eject my tape! The mechanism for releasing the tape did not work. I owned a video production company for many years and know full well how these things work, and this device simply did not work. I tried replacing the battery with another brand-new battery, but that made no difference. Ultimately I had to forcibly remove the tape, and as you can see by the photo, the tape was ruined. Now I'll have to find someone who can try and repair it, at a cost to myself. (The manufacturer should pay for it!) My advice to people is to NOT purchase this item and, preferably, find one that isn't battery powered.
