How to Use It?

  • Unfold four solar panels in direct sunlight and please make sure that there are no shadows or covering;
  • Then connect your phone or other 5V electronic devices to this solar charger with the certified cable( We don't provide the lightning cable for Apple devices).
  • The red LED light will go on when the solar panels work normally; It will flash when overcurrent or short-circuit.

Note:

  1. Our solar charger can't store electricity, it needs to connect your devices in the direct sunlight.
  2. Our solar charger doesn't include the lightning cable for iPhone or iPad.
  3. 28W refers to the power of the solar panel which is not equal to the actual output power of the USB ports, because there will be some loss in the process of conversion.
  4. The power of the solar panels: Our product has 4 solar panels, each piece is 7w; so the power is 4*7w=28W; Real output: 5V/2.4A Max for each usb port, 5V/4.8A Max in total.

Got this for a week long camping trip to charge all my various devices. This thing worked great!!! It charged my phone, my battery bank, my camping lantern, and my friend's digital camera. The weather was sunny, I had a great spot to put it, and I only charged one thing at a time, despite this guy having 3 USB ports. So these may have contributed greatly to it's success.

That being said, it performed all of this after being dropped in the lake (for about 10-15 seconds, and allowed to dry out) and being dropped from the picnic table to the ground. It's durability is proven in my books.

It was a great tool to use for all of these items and is much more convenient than bringing giant C or D sized batteries for lanterns etc. I'd highly recommend getting one if you do much camping and still want to charge up cameras, e-readers, lanterns etc.

This unit seems well made and worked well on a recent camping trip. My only complaint is that there isn’t a great indication of the charging strength, which would help you when positioning the charger (in northern regions like Canada, correct positioning is really important).

It wasn’t until after I received the unit that I noticed the manufacturer offers a similar model with a built-in ammeter for $5 more. I’d recommend that one, so you’ll always be able to get the fastest charge.

I tried it out on my balcony with a galaxy s9 smartphone, I laid it flat in direct sunlight for 15-16 minutes (I know it should be at a 45 degree angle) Anyway! The phone went from 65%-87%, so 22% increase! I'm pretty happy with that result, although this is my first solar panel, so I have nothing to compare it too:)

I did do a lot of research on this before buying it at the discounted price. I'm not sure if those that say it didn't work from the start got duds or not.
Some people complained it doesn't charge very fast. But I think maybe that's because this doesn't give enough power to do "fast charging." If your device uses fast charging technology (newer devices) it's going to seem slow. It might seem like a regular wall charger that doesn't support fast charging? I'll find out on the next sunny day. My next test will be a 20,000mah battery that does support fast charging. So if my research is correct, it could possibly take 20 hours to charge from 0 to 100
I don't like that for some reason you should only expect to get maybe half of the advertised wattage. So 28watts is maybe more like 14watts. Anyone wanting fast charging I think needs at least 18w ✌

We ordered this solar panel to charge our battery packs for an upcoming camping trip. Based on my research, this seemed to be the best option in the price range.

I was initially impressed with the build quality. The product felt really sturdy, and like it could really take a beating if you wanted it to. It folds up nice to the equivalent of a small textbook I would say, and is fairly light.

I do not have a proper testing device for the charge this produced, however I improvised with a battery pack. In full sun conditions, mid afternoon, my battery pack gained 10% in about an hour. This is roughly 2000mah.

I can definitely see the use of this for a day at the beach, or other areas with little sun obstruction. It is free energy, essentially. Unfortunately it doesn't suite our needs due to the fact that we'll have a lot of tree cover which can hinder it's performance.

If there was a negative rating, I would give this product -5 because it did not work and the advertising made it sound like it awesome.
