This is the 2nd. battery base I purchased for a gift. here are the comments: Mission for Alexa is the perfect fit. Exactly as Described. Very Functional, gives me the freedom of use anywhere my wi-fi signal permits, the only not so great thing about it is the battery drains rather quick. (approx. 2 to 3hrs use) I was told that after a few charges it may increase my use to about (3.5 to 4hrs) Still considering all this product has to offer I gave 5*****

I love that I can bring the echo out to my balcony now, where due to the advanced age of my building, and unfortunate lack of forethought, there is no power, water, or gas… I digress. The music can stay continuous inside and out between all my many many echos now, and I can close my patio door while air conditioning. Win! The only feedback I would offer, and the reason for four stars, is why only a four or five hour battery life? I have heated gloves with nearly as much battery capacity. Given the size of the base I think it would be advantageous to double the battery capacity and aim for 8-10 hours of battery life. Aside from that, it seems to work flawlessly and looks sleek.

I have never had a battery powered Wi-Fi speaker. Bluetooth yes, but not an echo device. I use this in my shed; it charges there then I take it out near our hot tub to use. It definitely gets the 4-5 hours it claims. Then when I'm done in the hot tub I simply plug it in again for the next usage.

The BEST feature is that you can unplug it while it's running, there's no lag or you don't need to turn it back on when you unplug it. What I mean is if you are playing music, then suddenly unplug the speaker from the electrical outlet, the battery will automatically pick up the slack and your music will continue to run seamlessly.

I am so thoroughly impressed with this product. It was just a little bit of a pain to get the door off the bottom of the echo (but that has NOTHING to do with the battery base, that's the speaker design).

REMEMBER: This is for Amazon Echo 4th Generation with Premium Sound.
IT DOES NOT WORK WITH THE ECHO *DOT* 4th GENERATION

You want to take your echo 4 th generation outside or another room just unplug it and it will stay connected that easy .I play my music outside in garage and it has a good wifi range Range will of course depend on your router The battery last several hour no problem .Like any music player the louder the harder on battery .When you get back to power plug it in and recharge begins and stop when done .Only had it a few week find it useful

Check your type of device, I have a gen 4 echo dot, this only works on a gen 4 echo. Had to return. Looked like a solid product though.

It to me a min to figure install. and other things but that is just me. .
I got this to take Alexa onto my patio and back yard.
This only fits the round ECO. Which works for me. Yes I have older versions too.
The signal was good. but that again depends on your WIFI.
the sound quality was good too. Nothing on quality change because of batter use. I have not had my batter run out unexpectedly. Only time will say how well the batter does.
But the other best part is my round ECO runs more warm more than the other models. it affected finish on a piece of furniture and I had to move it fix the spot and keep a coaster under it. (affecting the finish could be the quality of finish, other items were fine with it) This battery is a much nicer solution looks & stability with portability. an all around win

Me ha sorprendido para bien, reconoce perfectamente lo que le dices y es más útil de lo que creés. La instalé en la cocina, (se instala ella sola cuando detecta el WiFi del router) ,y tiene mucha utilidad, como, temporizadores simultáneos personalizados para que sepas cual es cuál, recordatorios, lista de la compra, ésta es muy útil ya que le dices que incluya lo que quieras y te aparece en la app del móvil en el acto, aunque no estés en casa. Respecto a la música lo tengo asociada a Spotify y es una pasada, como suena y como busca lo que le pides. No entiendo las críticas negativas respecto a su funcionamiento, porque a mi no me falla nada.
