My baby has extreme gas problems. I'm in his room for 1-2 hours sometimes trying to ease his gas so he can sleep. I've tried everything. First night using this he was up for an hour screaming in pain. Nothing was working. I went to the kitchen and heated this up and came upstairs and laid it on his bed and rolled him on his belly to velcro it around him. He literally fell asleep the second he laid on it. This past week, our baby has been erratic with getting her to sleep. She wakes up three or four times, so it takes up to three hours to get her to sleep. We have had this belly warmer for two days and it's genius. I took it off her belly prematurely last night and she cried straightaway and it took hours to get her to sleep, but tonight she has only woken up once, which is a miracle, and I've left the warm water bottle on her belly. She's not woken up with the usual trapped wind etc., so I highly recommend this belly warmer if you are having trouble getting your little one into a restful sleep.

We were going to get rid of our microwave too, as we hardly use it, but we would keep it to heat the gel pad up, as it only takes 20 seconds. Last night I put the pad into a saucepan of hot water, and it's too fiddly that way, and not quick enough when you need it ASAP to soothe the little one when she's crying.
