Great Highlighters for Students.
After years of using the same highlighter, I thought that it was finally time to purchase a new set. Every highlighter met my expectations, except for the peach highlighter, but more on that later.Each highlighter's base is completely plastic, which was expected. However, I still find the lack of a rubber hand grip near the tip to be disappointing. Instead of holding comfortable rubber, I have to hold slippery plastic. This isn't much of an issue though as I am not writing with them, but I still find that the lack of comfortable grip reduces a star for overall usability.As for the colors produced, each marker was true to the color on the base except for the peach marker. Instead of producing the high contrast orange that I expected, the marker created a pumpkin orange color. Definitely not a deal-breaker, but I would have preferred the markers base color to match the color produced instead of creating a slightly washed out orange.The markers are slightly smaller than I expected, which I am okay with as I was after a compact highlighter for my backpack. While they use high quality ink, I am not sure how long the ink will actually last. The brightness of the ink is vibrant enough to be noticeable on a page while being mellow enough to not create an eyesore. The green and blue highlighters are especially nice as they provide a pleasing color that attracts my eyes instead of blasting them with a bright yellow line. I found that the markers are definitely translucent enough to cover text while still leaving it legible.Overall, these are a great option for compact highlighters with a visually pleasing color palette and a secure fitting cap that should keep the markers fresh. I would give this product 5 stars, but I decided to give it 4 due to the aforementioned color discrepancy from the peach highlighter.
