What went well: the pins work as intended. Don't smell weird or have rough edges. My hair is really straight and of medium length, yet the pins are long enough to keep a high bun in place even when I sleep. Haven't gotten across any pins that were missing the rounded points that prevent them from scratching.
What wasn't so nice: the pins came in a plastic bag the type you cannot recycle that served as wrapping for a plastic case that was broken and kept from falling apart with tape. Inside the broken case was another non-recyclable plastic wrap and then finally the pins. I'm sure people who need to travel with the pins can put them in an empty mint can or those mini Tupperware things that are never good for storing things in the kitchen. Then, the pins could be sold in a literal cardboard envelope, instead of getting shipped in a smashed case that makes it look like I got my hair pins in a dark alley.
