Living in the middle of nowhere, I use battery powered lights from DeWalt for the time being, use this to plug in the charger during my drives to town. Worked flawlessly for weeks, but now it eats fuses. I swap a new one, charge starts up, but I suspect the adapter took a knock somewhere along the way jarring something loose which I may have to insulate/re solder, there's obviously a short in the unit somewhere now. Glad Amazon carries 10amp mini fuses by 60 for less than 4 out of Canadian tire. Good unit, useful and does the intended job, but treat it gently.

*UPDATE*
I was wrong,this unit works flawlessly,I now believe the issue was caused by a DeWalt battery charger. I am not an electrical engineer, but suspect that at times the battery in charger sends juice back to the outlet which sends that back to the car system and blows fuses. Not certain, but makes the most sense to a layman like myself. Running a 120w charger for my necessities has no issues with fuses at all. I would think this unit would have some protection for such behavior,but then again, I would rather pop the hood to swap a fuse than disassemble this unit. This unit does exactly what is promised, and I do apologize for any confusion I may have caused. Sturdy unit, would buy again.

Quiet, tiny.
I can charge my (Dewalt) tool batteries as I drive. Way cheaper and more useful than the purpose built 12v battery chargers.
I also ran a PS3 and a small monitor from batteries. Rarely it couldn't overcome the surge start of the PS3, but that was due to low charge. Once it was running, I could turn on the monitor and all was well. No buzzing or interference or anything like a square wave inverter might have.
I ended up buying 3. One as a gift. One for the truck and one for indoors.
The wire does get slightly warm under high loads, but not hot.

This inverter seems to work really well. I don't have complaints but I would be careful operating close to its max wattage as it doesn't use standard automotive fuses. I've set the fuses off a few times so I try to keep it to 200W. Other than that, it's been a daily essential running my dash cam and occasionally charging my laptop and other batteries.

Used this power inverter on a recent 60-day camping excursion to 18 National Forests in Western states. Occasionally I needed to charge my laptop, iPad or portable chargers between campgrounds and this unit did the trick. Beautiful construction and great performer. The inverter can get a tad warm when in use, but nothing to worry about. Maybe similar to the outside of a paper coffee cup with warm contents. It sat on my front seat during use and I never gave it a second thought after the first use. It comes in a very sturdy little cardboard box, ideal for storage at home, but a little big for travel. Luckily I had a small padded nylon zipper pouch that it fits in perfectly for stowing in my SUV glovebox. For someone not so fortunate, an optional nylon storage pouch would be nice, if you don’t already offer one. Oh, in case I didn’t make this clear before, I highly recommend this product! Thanks for all the positive reviews that turned me on to this wonderful device in the first place too!

Only complaint was that the battery connection cables were a bit short and limited the location to zip tie the inverter into place.
