This is a good kid to have on hand if you lose a rod tip. Or even if you have an eye or two that has lost its inner rubber. Very easy to use although I am not sure how far down I would use this to repair a broken rod. With repairing a tip, you still have most of the rod intact so if you have a fish on, you would not worry about losing it because you have plenty of rod left. I would say anything past the first might be suspect repairability.

I ordered this to repair a Penn rod that recently snapped when fishing. My rod snapped by the second eye and it was a fairly clean break. I removed the string that was attaching the eye used this list following the instructions. The smallest size rod fit loosely and the next size up was too large so I proceeded to use the smaller one thinking the epoxy would fill the void but I was wrong since the epoxy is too liquid and after putting the rod together it seemed to flop back and forth. I’m just going to shorten the rod as I have done in the past and put a new tip on instead. I really wanted this to work.

This is a great little kit for repairing broken or damaged glass rods. It comes with everything necessary including 2 component epoxy, mixing cups, brushes, mixing cups, hypos for accurate mixing of the epoxy, and most importantly a selection of graphite rod sections. The instructions are easy to follow.

I had a pole that snapped and I ordered this kit to fix it. It seemed to have everything I needed. The epoxy didn’t harden as well as I thought it would. Everything else seemed ok, just seems kinda cheap.

Nicely packaged kit with everything you'll need. I haven't used it yet, but I examined the parts carefully. Sharp, compact scissors. Good selection of carbon fiber rods.
