For a while I have been looking at setting up my own home studio for streaming, gaming, and music. I've been looking for decent pair of studio headphones for a while when I saw these. I saw the low price for them and was like "they're a good brand, just might not be the quality I'm looking for.", I took the chance and ordered them. Two days later they came in and I put them through their paces and was shocked and excited about the sound quality and the comfort! these were exactly what I was looking for to get started on putting my studio together! Thank Audio-Technica!

I bought these for use with my cheap TV and Roku player. As the TV sound is crappy, I had two choices --> 1) buy a sound bar or 2) buy headphones. Living in an apartment building with noisy tenants, if I went with the sound bar I'd just be pumping up the volume really loud to cancel the exterior noise. I chose to buy these headphones instead and they have solved my dilemma perfectly. I plugged them into my Roku remote and the noise cancelling is good enough that I can clearly hear my entertainment at a normal sound level without the outside distractions.
List of pros (order depends on what you need) :
1) Price --> more than reasonable
2) Sound --> unless you are a music aficionado looking for huge bass, you'll enjoy the true and clear sound
3) Cord --> it is long enough and has a sturdy connector. The cord itself is fairly thick and the material is supple, strong and won't tangle on you
4) Physical structure --> they sit firmly on your head, I use it completely collapsed since my head is small. If you extend the sliders, the unit actually has less pressure on the ears. So if your head is larger, you'll probably get a more comfortable fit. I'm not complaining, but us smaller headed folks will get a slightly less than perfect fit from an otherwise perfect sub $100 product!

List of cons: none notable, but just remember --> although the build quality is superior to most other headphones in this price range, they are not $300 headphones, so be gentle with them and you'll thank yourself for making a very smart purchase that will pay for itself and more in entertainment!

Tl;dr. If you are cheap and want a good pair of headphones like me, this is the best option.

The good
- best headphones in the 70$CDN
- thick cable
- comfy side cushions
- ability to get loud if you have a strong DAC or audio out put
- bleeding isn't a concern unless you have it on max volume.

In the middle
- audio quality is over all okay, it focuses more on the overall feel on audio. If you want extreme base I would recommend going for the Sony extra bass, but if you want over all good performance these are for you.
- I always find my self looking from more from these headphones. After reviews saying they would blow me away I guess they do well but not to what people claim they do. Playing game on PC and listening to my FLAC collection I always seems to feel like I am missing something. To note I do not have a DAC with these yet.
How ever some songs I am able to here notes that I couldn't ever here before. The best example is a video on YouTube called "bass tester (booster bass)" you can hear a "can you here me" during the song I have never heard before on 300$+ headphones
- don't expect these to be your portable drivers. These are mentioned to stay at a desk or studio

Bad
- cable it a little to long
- ear cuffs are not removable
- needs a lot of power because of the resistance of the line

Ugly
- packaging is horrible. The box looks nice but as soon as you open it up it looks like you just bought a glass vase from a shaddy chines store.
- the side wires are sticking out of the side of the headphones by design it's quiet annoying
- pure plastic. But expected at this price.

Over all score out if 10

Audio : 7/10. * Good, perfect for price
Design : 5/10. *Plastic, no swivle, cable to long
Comfort. : 9/10. *not 10 because my ears get a little hot
Weight. : 10/10. *I can wear these all day
Portability :4/10. *can't be folded, needs DAC, long cable
Price. : 8/10. *Plastic+wires are cents, drivers 5$ each. Headphones like these cost more cause of the name. Over all fair price but price should be 40-50$

Amazing sound for the price. These have been my daily-use headphones for audio production, listening to music, and gaming for years now, and I've never had any complaints about them - even after the abuse of being thrown into my bag more times than I can count, and listening to some ridiculously bass-heavy music at probably louder-than-reasonable volumes, they've held up incredibly well - everything about them feels almost as good as the day I bought them.

I purchased these after extensive research for a low budget, audiophile-quality set of headphones. I initially went with the ATH-M50x and ended up having to return them due to being too uncomfortable (would slide off my head, give me a headache within an hour). I was hesitant to try out the cheaper M20x model, which also happens to be smaller/lighter, because I expected the sound quality to be much worse than the M50x.

So glad I took the chance because they fit so much better, feel so much better, and still sound excellent. It's obviously not quite the same quality, but more than good enough for the price point. They do eventually get uncomfortable, but it took me 4-5 hours of straight use to get tired of them (I wear glasses which doesn't help). I do wish they would fold up or at least came with their own carrying case like the M50x, but otherwise I am extremely satisfied and would recommend these to anyone who would be using them predominantly to listen to music.

Really comfortable to wear for long periods. The cord is a good length and they feel pretty robust and fairly light too.

They fit well on different sized heads as you can easily adjust them and the sound quality is great too.

I ended up returning them because I had lost my main pair and ended up locating them again so I no longer required these. However, if my main pair ever fails me this will be my go to for purchase again as I really enjoyed my time with them. There’s a lot of clarity in the sound which is exactly what I need when field recording. I also enjoyed the comfortability whilst recording for long sessions too.

I’ve also had issues with headphones in the past always dropping off my head which is really frustrating. This wasn’t a problem with these at all. I’d highly recommend them and I’m sure I’ll be purchasing them again in the future once my current headphones fail eventually.

I also think the price is really reasonable for these. What you get for the price is great.

Sound quality is good as it is a usual case with audio technica headphones, I mainly use it for listening to music or when I’m recording in Fl Studio .The build quality of these is quite flimsy but they are lightweight so can wear it for long enough time and the cable is long enough but not detachable. Some reviews are saying that these press a lot on your ears but if that’s the case, then you should get the m40s cuz they are more comfortable, some of my friends have those. Btw I’m happy with these for rn but definitely will be upgrading to m40 or m50.
