Having been a big Elder Scrolls fan for many years.... though they have their own issues and problems, ... this game was highly lauded as a great, large mapped, open world game similar to those games. I have found only part of that to be true. The first major flaw is character creation. It is severely limited and lacking. Other games have gone overboard here, whereas this game is the opposite. Unless you like playing all your games as an amazingly hot but unrealistic white (I think) female with odd, fixed characteristics and appendages, that's what you are stuck with as a character mostly. Pretty lame. Second major flaw is in the game menus. They are all difficult to clearly see and are confusing. So is much of the rest of the game, except the map you use to navigate. Leveling up is a bizarre mixture of menus, only one of which makes any sense. A third major flaw is the logical point of the game and its various so-called quests. While there's a lot of places to go and tasks to theoretically do, there's not much point in going to them or doing any of them after you do. You can easily kill six hours with a character only to find yourself wondering what you have really accomplished in the game for your character, except having killed a bazillion little elfs they call "kobolds"??? Half the weapons and armor you "loot" your fixed lame character can't use, they all have zero money, and there's no characters anywhere who don't seem hostile in some form to explain anything that's going on or why it's going on in this bizarre game world. The "magic" in the game is extremely confusing to set up in the leveling up process. Combat is very clunky and awkward, with your character often not responding to the button press. Navigation is pointless. You will often get lost or find yourself going over the same ground. The "open world" isn't really all that open. You'll find that your character can't swim for whatever reason, and is easily defeated and halted by hedges, fences, cliffs, bluffs, and grades. Talking to other characters, if you are deep deep inside a city, is pointless, as they know zilch that is useful. The camera view, especially inside buildings and caves and such is pretty frustrating as the game is hard to see anyway regardless of how much you tinker with the visual options. Overall, very disappointed with this game. Buy something else.
