We bought this light for our 3 year old granddaughter and it was a hit from the moment we plugged it in. The stars and nebulae effect on the bedroom ceiling was mesmerizing and well exceeded my expectations. The remote control was very intuitive to use and we were quickly changing the swirling nebulae colors until we landed on the favorite (fuchsia and blue). The stars (green color only) and nebulae can be on at the same time or you can choose stars or nebulae only. There's also controls on the back of the unit if you don't want to use the remote. The 45/90 minute timer button is on the back of the unit and lights up white for 45 and purple for 90 minutes. The astronaut figure is very attractive with posable arms and looks great sitting on the nightstand. The next night we used the star projector while watching a movie in our living room which has 22' high ceilings and it created a very neat effect. While the nebulae was a bit less vibrant given the greater distance, the stars were still very bright. This was a great value for the price and we expect to get a lot of enjoyment out of it. We also received the unit less than 24 hours after ordering on Prime. I'd highly recommend this!

My son loves to have this on to fall asleep to. We have it on rotate nebula while we are doing stories or songs and then switch the nebula to just red and turn the stars off for fall asleep time so it's not too bright.

Really nice vibrant colours. My kid has a hard time falling asleep and likes calling for us a million times, and so we though the distraction of the stars and planets illuminating her room could help as a distraction and encourage laying on her back and relaxing. So far it has been a great success. She's a big fan of her "little space man". So far so good!!

We also use it for dance parties. Helps create a flashy atmosphere that we use with other lights to really get the party going!

The device is okay for the price you pay for it but one noticeable issue I found was the poor signal emitted from the remote- Yes, I made sure to put new batteries in. The only button that managed to work was the power button and even that was not very reliable as I had to be within two feet away from the device in order to get it to work. I tried every other button and nothing happened so I’m assuming it has something to do with the signal being emitted from the remote. On top of the that, the bottom piece does not fit properly into the foot of the device and so it’s a bit unstable and can topple over any moment. Not very happy with the purchase and so I gave it 3 stars; but I guess that is what is expected from the price you pay for this item.
