I don't think I've ever seen these in store, but I refused to use the oral suction kind as that's just nasty. I also tried an electric one, and that one wasn't very powerful, clogged easily, and had no replacement parts available when you break something.

This hand-pump version is very effective and easy to clean. The kid is much less scared of it than the electric one, and it's much easier to control than the electric one. And if you break something (which I haven't), it's affordable enough that you can replace the whole thing without breaking the bank.
