Great for beginners, came with decent instructions.
5 out of 5 stars
Great for beginners, came with decent instructions.
I bought this board at the beginning of the spring. I was tired of renting boards and hoping they had them available for when I wanted to go.I am so glad I bought this SUP board, I have been out at least once a week since I got it. I use the hand pump every time, it takes me less than 10 minutes and yes the gauge doesn't register PSI until it is well inflated, but it does register and it will tell you when you are in the range you need to be. I generally go to 14 PSI. I actually count the pumping up as part of the workout! This gives great sturdiness and I worry less when out of the water and its hot out that the pressure will increase to problematic levels.I bought the 11ft foot board because I am fairly tall (5'11") as is my partner (6'4") and we have an 80lb dog who loves to come with me on the board. I have done mainly lake paddling on the board, some very still and some with lots of boat wake etc. I find it very manageable in both conditions. Some of the stability issues might also be people being stiff legged, remember to keep a slight bend in the knee when things get a bit rocky! ;) The board is fairly stable, the fin definitely helps with paddling straight, trust me I tried paddling without the fin and it was NOT FUN. LOL. I am also very careful with the fin, I try not to run the fin aground, I put in backwards, so the fin doesn't touch the bottom and I flip it upside down or remove the fin when on land, so it doesn't accidentally get stood on and snap the fin off. Everything fits in the bag which is great that it's a backpack as well. Sometimes I like a bit of a hike to where I want to put in away from the crowds or if I have to park a bit further away at busy spots. So much easier than trying to lug a kayak like a friend of mine. ;) I deflate my board with the pump and find it is fairly easy to get back in the bag with all the accessories, plus it fits the seat I bought separately.I also bought a seat that would attach to the D rings and it works great if I don't want to stand or want to take a break and eat lunch. I probably have it on 50% of the time, but as I am spending more time standing, I will probably use the seat less. The paddle is functional, it might be just a tad short for me as I set it at the max 210cm, and the bulky adjustment area is sort of right where I want my lower hand, so I may invest in a better fitting paddle for next season.I and my dog love the grippy padding on top, which has held up well for the season no signs of wear or coming apart. I do take really good care of the board, I try to dry it off right away and I never store it in the bag wet.The only thing I notice is around the inflation valve it looks like the edge is loosening where the plastic and the board meet, there is no evidence of an air leak yet, but I do believe they cover how to fix it in the instructions. So not too worried. There is a strap for carrying the board while inflated and that is handy as well.

Contrary to my expectations, the board does not look cheap. Very well shaped, even and smooth surface, quality seams, great looking. The top is anti-slippery, soft, and pleasant for your feet, the bottom is smooth and sleek. The board is very sturdy and rigid when inflated to the proper pressure. I also bought a 2-year warranty from Amazon for peace of mind. I have tried the board a few times on the lakes and loved it very much! Also tried my friend's ~$800 board and have not found any difference.

The paddle has couple issues: 1) the clip for the extendable part was not tight enough, but it is easy to fix by rotating the clip by whole number of rotations, which will tighten the screw (see photo #3); 2) the handle is a bit wonky in the point of connection of two parts. This can be fixed either by putting proper amount of electrical tape prior to connecting (see photo #4, note that the tape is for tightness between the parts, not for glueing them); or by re-drilling the hole for the pin to make the outer tube to come tighter on the inner tube. Either way you’ll make the connection rigid by creating tension in the locking system. If you don't want to deal with it, taking into account the low price of the board, you can buy another paddle and still save money.

The pump: some customers here stated that their pumps broke after couple of uses. Looking at the pump, I do not understand how it can happen. The pump has a pretty simple and reliable design. Definitely it is not a NASA's development, but it is quite solid and does the job excellently. I cannot imagine what you need to do in order to break it. Probably it is important to remind that you need to not forget to switch the pump into single-action after you reach some pressure (when it is hard to pump). Probably failure to follow this rule was the reason of the breakages. I assume that you can apply any force downwards on the piston, while the force you can apply upwards (tearing apart the piston from the handle) is limited. Furthermore it is easier for you to pump in single-action.

 •Arrived on time with everything.
•Being my 1st iSUP, I wasn't exactly sure what to do, but the instructions were simple. I was also concerned about the pump due to reviews, but thankfully mine worked great! *TIP: the psi guage will not give a reading until around 7psi!* I thought it was already full, and was about to give up before it started giving me a reading & I realized I still had a ways to go. After I figured that out, the second time took me around 10 minutes to fully inflate, psi guage worked fine, and no unwanted air loss.
•The fin clips in and out super easy!
•The carrying backpack is ok, it could be better/thicker, but it does the job. We walked about 0.5km total from the parking lot to the beach & back and it held up just fine. Plenty of space for everything needed, and some extras (towel/water bottle) to fit without struggle.
•The paddle assembles easily and works well.
•The waterproof phone case passed the test run with paper towel in the sink, felt confident putting my phone in when we went out & it worked great.
•Board is easy to balance on & maneuvers well, being my first time I was nervous but it didn't take long before I was on my feet and racing my husband across the lake, even with my 8 year old moving & dancing as we went. My kids took turns trying it out themselves, and managed fine.
•Easily deflates & rolls up once finished.
In all it provided hours of family fun, I can't speak for longevity yet, but I hope it lasts! Will definitely consider buying a 3rd or 4th board for my kids to be able to use solo.

Good value for money. Very stable. Comes with a bag that makes it easy to carry. The only thing is the time to inflate but I think this is for all SUPs except if buy an electric pump

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy Breezy Fun on the Water

If you're on the hunt for an easy-to-use paddle board that's also durable, let me introduce you to the Aqua Plus Inflatable Paddle Board.

First off, durability is key, right? This board doesn't disappoint. It feels solid and reliable, whether you're gliding over calm waters or testing the waves.

Now, onto the convenience factor. Being inflatable means you can take it anywhere without the hassle. Plus, the kit comes with everything you need, from the paddle to the fin, so you're all set to hit the water straight out of the box.

I'll be real with you though—the hand pump that comes with it can be a bit of a workout. But good news! I've just ordered an attachment for my air compressor to make inflating a whole lot easier. So if you're like me and prefer saving your energy for paddling, that's an option to consider.

Overall, the Aqua Plus Inflatable Paddle Board is a winner in my book. It's tough, convenient, and with a little tweak for the pump, it's smooth sailing all the way. So if you're ready to add some fun to your water adventures, I definitely recommend giving it a try!
