Not great for a live concert setting if quality of sound is important. You can't turn up a channels gain very high as this mic can't filter any sounds that are coming back at you via nearby speakers or monitors. A low hum /feedback loop will be exaggerated by any reverbs used. However, in a more controlled setting, if this is the look you're going for, it's alright.

The mic comes exactly as pictured, but very noisy. The tone of the mic is unique, almost cassette tape like, very usable for simple vocals or streams.

Pros:
- Great aesthetic
- Unique and usable tone
- Fantastic Build Quality
- XLR Port is solid, not lose at all

Cons:
- Poor rejection of bumps on desk
- Keyboard noise is picked up loudly
- Very noisy mic, white noise is audible at normal talking level
- No documentation for technical specs beyond simple text for frequency response and sensitivity.

5.0 out of 5 stars This mic is a sleeper! Best large diaphragm microphone for $62!

This is a large diaphragm condenser microphone and it needs phantom power. I use an iRig for my XLR interface and I barely turn the gain up to make this thing work. It can pick up your voice from 5 ft away with clarity, as if you were standing a foot away from it. It’s not overly sensitive with plosives. I’m just blown away with this generic mic. It does not have a brand name. It rivals my expensive RODE and Shure microphones. It’s an excellent buy for $62. I highly recommend it for its performance and classic looks. Go get one!

3.0 out of 5 stars Works - too bad it requires 48v phantom power
Reviewed in the United States on May 14, 2020

Because it means I cannot use wireless receivers with it. Also means that my audio defaults are not effective, because they're built for condensers that don't require phantom power. Since this is an omnidirectional, it means you're getting a lot of unintentional feedback.

Probably fine if you're nowhere near the speakers, but otherwise, it's annoying.

Really good microphone for speeches and such. I use it for a random things. No really meant for hardcore vocals.
