I only really use the Prime Photos app on my  Fire TV Stick | Basic Edition | Streaming Media Player  but on that device it works pretty well. Photos load fast and look really good on my TV, even paper photos I scanned years ago. The interface is also pretty easy to use and I really like how if you have a Prime Photos account, the app comes pre-installed on the Fire Stick and linked to your account. The Fire Stick can also be set up so that when it switches to screen saver mode it uses pictures from your Prime Photos account, which is cool.

I have 12 years of photos loaded in this app. I liked the organization by year and month. For each year you can scan the 12 months and quickly decide whether to do a deep dive in that segment. I wasn't certain about how to link my iPhone to our large screen devices but the app connected devices while I was trying to figure things out. Brilliant. My plans are to delete redundant photos and narrow saved photos to favourites. Enjoy; I am.

Incredible lack of feature and bugs. Image quality is horrible, just try to start a slideshow on a big tv screen (or even smartphone) and you'll see pixels as big as your hand even with 4k images. No possibility to configure anything. The only good thing is the unlimited space for photos, but with the low quality of the slideshow is just useless

This app is offered with Prime.
You should take advantage of it and use one of the great tools that Prime has to offer.
Just one more perk that a Prime membership can offer, and no, I don't work for Amazon ;)

The concept of the app is great - I love having additional storage. However I do not like that you cant choose what gets uploaded in the app. Its all or nothing, you have to import all photos. I also dislike how it then automatically syncs all photos onto the fire stick and echo show. There should be an option to not have this happen automatically.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use for enjoyment and personal protection.

This may be one of the best Prime offerings. After I take pictures with my Android smart phone, the pictures or videos are there on the Prime Cloud. I can see them on my Chrome Book, android or my Fire tablet.

Besides have great Cloud storage, there are other security reasons to use Prime Photos.

We live in N. California where the big fires happened in October. Our home was not harmed. We were advised by some friends who lost their home to get pictures/videos of the outside and do a walk through video inside with pictures and valuables. They had pictures that were destroyed in the fire.

Another friend, who now lives in hurricane prone Florida, advised me to use Amazon Prime to store the videos, as they would not be destroyed or locked in a bank deposit box whose keys got destroyed.

I did that and both videos were uploaded to Amazon Prime and are there now.

Another friend lives in a town with a well known tourist area where there are a lot of walking tourists. The town installed the new flashing amber lights that pedestrians trigger by pushing button to cross the street in cross walks.

The friend was walking with out of town family, and they were walking in the cross walk with the flashing lights. A really big guy about hit them with his convertible in the cross walk. They and other people yelled at him, and he stopped his car was getting out to kick some you know what. Our friend and his wife had their phones out and were taking pictures of the jerk, Other people were doing the same thing. Our friend told the threatening jerk that he was now on Amazon Prime's Cloud and probably Google. So he might want to get back into his car and leave. Our friend said at least 6 other people had their smart phone cameras taking pictures of the jerk.

The jerk got back into his car and drove away.

Even if you don't need Amazon for protection, you can enjoy have your photos/videos on the Amazon Cloud quickly
