What kid doesn't love a mystery box? My son yelled it out in excitement when he saw it. Perfect for teaching your little ones the alphabet and animals in a fun and exciting way. Can be played solo or 2+ players. The mat is thick and double sided. One side is lowercase and the other uppercase. The illustrations on the mat are simple but good. However, some of the miniature toy animals were difficult to identify at first. I would say it's worth it considering the concept and the materials are of decent quality.

I absolutely LOVE this mystery box activity. I guarantee this is going to be a hit in my kindergarten classroom, and I know it will be amazing for solidifying letter recognition and sound skills. The quality of the materials is great. The box is made of soft cloth, as is the game/matching mat. This will ensure that it actually lasts with 3-6 year olds using it regularly! I also love the fact that it is all animal-based. This will help the animal lovers to make associations between animals and letter names and sounds. Furthermore, the mat has the animals in the shapes of the letters, which according to the Science of Reading, actually further helps children to develop letter recognition. The mystery box activity is perfect for a classroom or early learning environment or at home. I would definitely recommend it!

She did this over and over again 3 times the first time she played with it and has played with it multiple times since. The quality of this game itself is superb! I love that the mat and storage cube are made of material so you can wipe them clean and they won't get damaged like a cardboard one would. The alphabet mat has capital letters on one side and lower case on the other. Perfect for teaching about upper/lower case. The plastic animals are good quality as well although a little weird looking in some cases. This is perfect for home use and would also be great for schools or daycares.

I was worried when I ordered this that it would be small and it arrived ... it was even smaller than I anticipated. This was quite disappointing. I can still use the animals, but for a different purpose. I do not recommend this activity.

Pretty cute and my son adores it. It comes with a reversible mat with upper case and lower case alphabets. It needs to be matched with small animals. Keeps my son busy and occupied for sometime.

I love this set because it's made of fabric and washable. It includes upper and lower case letters and all of the animals that match with the letters. The only animal that I wasn't excited to see included was a unicorn since I prefer animals we see at the zoo. Even the box that holds and stores everything is made of fabric. The fabric is smooth and has a nice texture. I encourage children using the mat to set the animals on their sides on the mat instead of making them stand since this can be tricky. We ovoid frustrations that way. We love this product and highly recommend it for it's quality, value and the overall feel of it.

This is a nice set for kids and has multiple options for play. I was a little confused as to why there were two animals for B, but then realized that the Bison toy was being misrepresented as a Yak. I don't remember if there were other errors than that, but that is a big one. An actual Yak toy would have been preferred. The toys are nice plastic toys of a decent size, with some paint errors. The fabric cube is nice and holds the mystery item well. The matching board is a nice size and the animals are represented fairly well. It is double-sided for practicing upper and lower case letters.

I actually got this game just for the little animals and not for the game itself - so I can't really speak on it other than it seems well made and simple to play. As far as the animal figurines themselves they are pretty nice, not really big, but for getting 26 of them it's a good deal. Some of the animals are nicer looking than others, but again you get what you pay for and overall I'm happy with the quality.

Most toddlers are visual learners, and this set provides visual and tactile engagement of the alphabet and animals. The fabric box and boards are targeted for younger learners. The quality of both is ok, but definitely longer lasting than if they were cardboard. The illustrations on the board are clear. This set also comes with mini animal figurines which are decent for their purpose to be sorted, but probably will not do well thrown around. I highly recommend this set because it meets a lot of educational goals and processes, even though the quality isn't the best. For around $14 after all discounts, I think this is a fair price for this set.
