Amazon's customer support deserves a gold star.
I wanted to upgrade my little one's alarm clock. So decided to go for this Echo due to all the features.
Had issues logging into my first unit which I returned and purchased a second. The second unit had the same issue. I had all but given up and was ready to return again. I was contacted by customer service and it took some time but we are now up and running!
There was an issue on the back-end with my account, so the chances of a similar situation for others should be nil.
Onto the unit itself, the sound on the unit is very full and impressive for a device of this size. The screen is clear and Alexa does detect the assigned wake word quite well. We also went with the voice training to aid detection but so far it has been great with names, etc.
The Amazon Kids subscription is also very useful with a multitude of books, apps/games, and videos available which can also be used on your tablet as well.
The parental controls work well with Alexa saying "Sorry I can't play right now" once the assigned timeframe is reached. There is a whole host of things that can be adjusted, such as time spent doing each activity type, goals and targets.
Overall, now that I am up and running I would definitely recommend an Echo Show.
Still a lot of features I have yet to play with yet such as the drop-in feature, or approved contact feature for video calls.

Works good
Pretty cool but GUI is lacking.Amazon kids seems cool, but there is no "back" button? Start a book, but cant go back to the book list again without going home.Also, sadly doesn't have unlimited music, so still have to pay extra or use Spotify.Kids love the back cover color.
