I have two drum kits. An early vintage Gretsch drum kit and an Alesis electronic kit. I've owned the Gretsch kit for almost forty years but only obtained the Alesis from a friend a few years ago. A seat came with the Gretsch but not with the Alesis. Right now, I've two granddaughters who like to play with my drums when they come to visit. I always felt bad that I didn't have a seat for the Alesis and started to shop around. Most decent stools run well over the hundred dollar mark, so, I thought I'd try the warehouse deal site. Lucky for me, they had an Alesis drum stool for about 40% of the price of a new one. Since they usually only visit about four times a year I figured why not take a chance. I thought that it was probably ordered and then returned so how bad could it be? Following the delivery I got a new update on the stool. It now told me that it might have a few cuts in the seat material. I wasn't overly concerned because of the price and the amount of time it would be used. The seat came from the west coast to Ontario in what I consider good time. To my surprise, I was able to put it together in minutes and as hard as tried, I couldn't find anything wrong with the stool. No cuts, bent or scraped metal. For all intents and purposes, this was a brand new seat. I would definitely buy a warehouse deal again after this experience. In the off chance you can't find a deal like me, I would still recommend this drum stool. The new price is not too bad considering the price of drum stools. You only have three or four seat adjustment heights but, I'm sure you could find one that suits.

The padding on the seat is uncomfortable after a half hour or less (I'm 185lbs, so if you weigh more it's going to be worse) The headphones can also be purchased at a better quality at a cheaper point. This would be a good pickup for kids/beginners, outside of that I'd steer clear.
