Can't turn down brightness
Can't seem to adjust brightness on the monitor, when I press the one button (power?) and go into different settings there are diff mode "warm tone" and the such, however the brightness option is there but dimmed out as if I can't modify it. Also doesn't come with an hdmi cable if that is an issue to anyone. Other that seems fine. I don't use it for gaming and only for everyday work.

I bought this monitor because it came highly recommended on YT -especially by Optimum Tech and Consumer Tech Reviews. I've had it for close to a month now and it really delivers on quality especially at such a low price. Colors are nice and accurate, refresh rate goes up to 165Hz with the included display cable, the brightness is decent, and the stand is top tier in my opinion. The viewing experience is great and so far, I'm happy with the purchase. The monitor has some in-built speakers which aren't the best but get the job done. You get your money's worth there. No issues so far, great monitor at a great price.

I paid 189$CAD so I'm reviewing for that price. I never heard of Pixio before. I just learned that the CEO is a gamer so I would trust this company. 24.5"(25) is not the usual size but it's the perfect size for 1080p content, I think bigger than that and you have diminishing returns. I don't know if the stand is good, I'm using a VESA arm. The colors are kind of good for a cheap display like that. I almost left the settings by default and my video games were beautiful. HDR350 is kind of useless, but with Windows 11 Auto HDR you can have surprising results. No man's sky with Auto HDR is just incredible. Resident Evil 2 remake with HDR is really cool. It's not true HDR1000 but it's sometimes usable. I will definitely try Windows 11 Auto HDR with every modern games just to see if it's better than SDR. So I'd say it'S useless to usable sometimes, don't buy it for that HDR tag.

I could plug my wired earbuds in the monitor and the sound is good 24bit/96 (actually better than my computer Realtek drivers). The 144hz is impressive (first time experimenting it), I already can't go back to 60hz/60fps after 1 day so be prepared. I would trust this company any day.

A little con but I'm not sure if I can fix it with settings or this monitor just show you bad quality content: Youtube videos and Twitch stream I watch are sometimes low quality and this monitor shows me every bad codec pixels from these kind of video content. Watching big 4k HDR video is impressive so I guess this monitor don't like lower quality content! Might be a setting somewhere, or a flaw at some point because not a lot of things I watch is super quality on the Internet. But. For that price, can't, get, better, than, this. Final point.

I needed a 24”, 1080p, 1440 Hz refresh rate, FreeSync Premium gaming monitor for an older computer that has a GTX1060 (6Gb) video card. This one tickets all the right boxes. Even though it’s not yet certified as a GSync compatible monitor, it works perfectly with GSync enabled on a nvidia graphics card. (Be sure to enable Freesync option in this monitors OSD menu “gaming” section first, before enabling GSync in the NVidia control panel on your computer). Very little backlight light bleed for a IPS monitor. Excellent quality panel with great contrast and colours. Best of all…price is very reasonable when on sale.

I've purchased monitor & had it for over 2 weeks now & I'm pleased to say that their is nothing I dislike about the graphics & the smoothness of the monitor. However, their is always HDMI issue with this monitor. Why? I bought this monitor specifically to connect it to my Xbox, & whenever I connected the HDMI cable from each tech & their was no issues at first. But then a few days their would be a lot of errors & issues proclaiming that their is no signal for the HDMI cable even though I've tried re-plugging it multiple times then started turning it on, & yet no signal. Even when it turns on the only & I tried to applicate & play a certain game & every-time my foot accidentally kicks the wires even the most slightest touch, the entire monitor will just turn off automatically. If you're considered buying this product for Xbox One, Playstation 4, Xbox X Series Or Ps5 & your solution is to connect it through HDMI, trust me there is gonna be a lot of frustrations & my only advice is to probably don't touch the wire physically.

PX243 on the right and P222 (75hz) on the left.
Both are beautiful. The 222 has a bit more backlight bleed and some dead pixels but this varies individually by each monitor.

Decent low level brightness and bright enough for me. I only use them maybe halfway tops.

Great picture quality on both.

PX243
Awesome low input lag
High contrast so deep blacks and bright whites.
Some black smearing at higher refreshes but not a deal breaker for everyone. Better than IPS ips glow IMO

No backlight bleed. Very good uniformity. Menu system is easy to navigate with joystick toggle.

Good build quality.

Colours are ok enough. I recommend boosting the saturation/digital vibrance in Nvidia control panel. Or in the monitor itself.

Colour accuracy of the box is also ok. Looks better with a calibration.

For the price it’s amazing. Very responsive monitor for the price.

Pros:
Does what a 1080p screen should. No issues getting it to run at the advertised refresh rates, two HDMI and two DP inputs. Seems like decent color quality. No dead pixels, and I love the thin bezel. No extra frills, decent specs.

Cons: Pictures on Amazon for it are slightly out of date since it doesn't show the correct inputs on the revision I received. Power supply is a barrel connector with a wall adapter at the end, and the total length is ~1 meter. Personally I am neither a fan of the wall adapter nor the short lenght, I prefer a standard cable with the necessary transformer either in the screen housing (if possible) or a box inline with the cable (ex. standard laptop power adapter) so it can more easily fit with power strips/surge protector. A 2m total length would give more reasonable flexibility. Also, the labeling on the inputs (and specs) advertise DisplayPort 1.4, but they include a DisplayPort 1.2 cable. It works for what I need it for, but why the disparity? No HDMI cable included, but those are quite readily available...but it can be annoying when one is not in the box.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pixio PX248 PRO
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on June 9, 2024
Style: 24" 1080p 165Hz Fast IPS 1ms (GTG)Verified Purchase
The Pixio PX248 Pro is a compelling option for gamers and professionals alike, offering a blend of performance, affordability, and sleek design. Here’s my take after a few weeks of using this monitor.

**Design and Build Quality:**
The PX248 Pro sports a minimalist design that fits well into any setup. The slim bezels provide a modern look, and the matte finish helps reduce glare. The stand is sturdy and offers decent ergonomics with tilt adjustments, although height adjustment is notably absent. The build quality feels solid for the price, and the monitor has a clean, professional appearance.

**Display Performance:**
This 24-inch monitor boasts a Full HD (1920x1080) resolution with an IPS panel, ensuring vibrant colors and wide viewing angles. The color accuracy out of the box is impressive, making it suitable for content creation and casual photo editing. With a refresh rate of 165Hz and a 1ms response time (MPRT), the PX248 Pro excels in fast-paced gaming scenarios. Motion is smooth, and input lag is minimal, which is crucial for competitive gaming.

**Features:**
One of the standout features of the PX248 Pro is its support for AMD FreeSync Premium, which helps eliminate screen tearing and stuttering when paired with a compatible graphics card. The monitor also supports HDR, although it's more of a bonus than a game-changer due to the limited peak brightness. Multiple connectivity options, including HDMI and DisplayPort, make it versatile for different setups.

**User Experience:**
Setting up the Pixio PX248 Pro is straightforward. The on-screen display (OSD) is intuitive, allowing easy adjustments for various settings. The included blue light filter and flicker-free technology contribute to a more comfortable viewing experience during extended sessions. However, the built-in speakers are underwhelming, lacking depth and volume, so dedicated speakers or headphones are recommended.

**Value for Money:**
Considering its price point, the PX248 Pro offers excellent value. It combines high refresh rates, good color reproduction, and essential gaming features without breaking the bank. While it lacks some premium features found in higher-end models, it strikes a great balance for those looking for a capable and affordable gaming monitor.

**Conclusion:**
The Pixio PX248 Pro is a fantastic choice for anyone in need of a high-performance, budget-friendly monitor. Its blend of fast refresh rates, vibrant colors, and gaming-centric features makes it a versatile option for gamers and casual users alike. If you're looking for an upgrade that won't drain your wallet, the PX248 Pro should be at the top of your list.

Overall, the Pixio PX248 Pro impresses with its performance and value, making it a strong contender in the competitive monitor market.

This is a brilliant monitor!

I have this connected to my Xbox Series X and allows me to play optimised games at 120fps.

A nice crisp 1080p panel provides a great picture for any game I have thrown at it.

I also have this monitor connected to my laptop as an extended display.

There have been no problems so far with this monitor and it is worth every pound, a great cheaper solution for your work/play needs!

5.0 out of 5 stars Some back bleed but pretty awesome

I use this mostly for programming in a well lit room. The small size makes 1080 text look as crisp as any 4K monitor. Compared to my MacBook Pro, I can see some backlight bleeding, but, it's not unbearable. As to color reproduction - I'd say it rivals my Samsung 27" 4K Monitor

My biggest complaint is the button to get to the menu. The button has 4 positions: up, neutral, down, in. Pressing up and down is super easy. Pressing in, it seems hit or miss. If there's even the slightest up or down movement, the "IN" movement seems to get over-ridden and the menu item up or down gets highlighted (but not selected)

After some practice, it's easier to navigate.

The second complaint is the power cord is REALLY short - maybe 4 or 5 feet. and finding a USB-A to USB-C cable is pretty hard. Luckily, my power strip is right below my desk, so, I don't have any issues, but, just something to consider.

THE GOOD

They provide a Micro-HDMI cable that is truly awesome. I mean, it's really good quality, and not stiff. Again, the color is REALLY good for a monitor this cheap. It's as good as a $300 Samsung, but I have a $500 LG that looks way better. But again, it's about 4x's the cost.

The case turns into a stand and it's really good. It's the perfect angle for working, it doesn't take up a lot of desk space, and the case it soft. I trust this case to protect my screen.

OVERALL
I'm happy with my purchase and my buy another one. The bad, are not bad enough to NOT buy if you need a small monitor for programming and need more desk space. It also works perfect if you want to hook an AppleTV up to it to watch something while traveling. The included cables are good quality, the case protects the monitor amply, and the monitor is small enough to fit into a laptop backpack with a 13" MacBook pro, and both chargers and not be too big or bulky

To be honest, at this price range, I was not expecting much. However after watching a few reviews and looking at some fellow customers, I decided to bite the bullet.

And man, I'm glad I did, it's far beat my expectations and for the value is a top notch monitor.
Playing games at 144hz is absolutely amazing with AMD Freesync enabled and overall you won't find a better monitor at this price range in my opinion of this quality.

Top things to point out:
144hz
IPS panel
1ms latency
AMD FreeSync
Easy and clear control panel.

The only thing I would say negatively is that you cannot adjust the height, which is something I would find very handy, but it has very impressive tilt functionality and being an IPS panel, the viewing angles are brilliant.
